THX-1138

Has anyone noticed that this system shares the same name as the stormtrooper Luke Skywalker pretends to be in starwars?

EV is amazing

I have, and I've played EV only for 1 month.

------------------

Also the name of one of Lucas' earlier films.

THX-1138 was the name of George Lucas's first movie, which is why the planet in the system is called 'George's World'. THX is the name of his sound company, and the reason George's World suffers earthquakes is that everyone has their THX sound systems turned up all the way. The number 1138 appears in many places in George Lucas's movies.

You're not serious, are you? That was one of the first things I noticed! Not a big fan, huh?

Used to be, but still never noticed Luke's ID number during his use of a stormtrooper's uniform.

Really? There have been countless similar topics about it before now...

Call me crazy, but the words coming out of his mouth are "TK421"...that's Tee Kay For Too Won. THX-1138 is a sort of a Star Wars code name...I remember reading a SW book a long time ago with that in it.

In the movie, it is TK-421. In the official book of the movie, it's THX-1138. Take your pick.

Thus the reason for my confusion. Problem solved.

Wow, what a topic. I agree that THX-1138 and George's World is a direct reference to Star Wars and George Lucas. It COULD be an error somewhere, but after reading all these posts on it, I'm convinced. Nice board, BTW...
