I dunno, that'd probably work, but I can't be sure. I mean, it runs fine on my dual G4 533 with 1280 RAM, but I think yours is probably close enough. /me wishes for one of the new dual 1Ghz machines :drool:

Mac: We're finally getting broadband on the mac this week, And hopefully upgrading to OS 9. And I still can't get my parents to get us the 799 imac, which is better in almost every category than my 6500. Any chance it'll work on my PC?

In my personal opinion, the Scoutship and the Courier don't compare. The Clipper is more like the Courier than any other ship in the game. Early on, however, it can be a bit pricey. Too bad you can't finance your ship

The Clipper is more similar to the Scoutship than the Courier. It's perhaps marginally better than the Scout, for 5+x the price. Not worth it in any case.
But at least you're not flying around in a toothpick. The main difference between the Scoutship and the Clipper is the number of guns you can load onto it. I'm a big fan of energy weapons over ammo-oriented and ranged weapons so the clipper suits my needs, despite the lack of space.

Only difference is a single turret slot, which is mostly a waste of space in the Clipper. They both carry 4 guns.

Clipper is a larger target, and its slow speed make it any easy target for missiles. I think it is far better off as a cargo craft than a fighter.

Clippers aren't worth anything except as escorts, they are the best suited for carrying extra cargo because of their design as a fighter. Too bad they never attack enemies. In my opinion, they are only a little better than Confed Gunships.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say the gunboat is worse (the gunboat's firepower can often far outdue its protection). The Clipper's firepower is about half that of the gunboat's (or "junkboat" :p). The Clipper has the cargo space, though.

Amen. Gunboats are only dangerous due to their heavy rockets. If you attack from the rear, or dodge the 2 that they have, it's a walk in the park.
Sometimes, I even think of the patrol ships being better than the Gunboats.

Which is not to say that the Patrol Ship is good, it's just better than th Gunboat. I'd take a Clipper over a Gunboat any day, and I hate Clippers.

Not to mention the four missiles it carries (well, more light seven when in AI hands). If something else distracts your attention and the gunboat(s) are permitted to unload their missiles, the results are a charred piece of junked metal (unless you have a ship fast enough to dodge them).
Killed another clipper with a courier last night, didn't even break a sweat or shields, didn't even have all of my standard upgrades yet. This furthers my belief that clippers are lousy except as captured escorts.
