Sounds good to me. I figured keeping those fighters would have booted the price up to around 100 million... Besides, we already have an earlier model that carries fighters. Don't need another one...

Mac, just why is the Excelsier 45 million? It was modeled after the Skyhawk which is 10 million. I might have added some extra weaponry in some areas but I took off fighters which should lower the price accordingly. So mind explaining why it is so expensive?

Thats funny coming from our enemies... did anyone notice that it has less shields than both the Liberty and the Republic? not to mention the fact that hey guess what it has no fighter bays whatsoever, when the Republic has space for 1,500 and the Liberty 2,000? As for the weapons? well the Republic has 500 turbolasr turrets the Liberty has 500 plasma beam turrets, we have 45 fusion particle beam turrets which ammounts too VASTLY less firepower than either. Hell one plasma beam turret has twice the firepower of a fusion particle beam, the you have lest see 455 more of them than we do? I'll admit that the Fusion particle beam is more powerful than the Turbolaser, but is it more powerful than 11 of them? Long story short yeah its faster and more manuverable, but the subtraction of fighter bays makes it MUCH smaller. And the weapons? the are mostly anti-fighter (needle turrets, tractor beams, detonator canisters), and the Antiship weapons are under that of a Dreden Battlecruiser and the HC Carrier, while Superior to the HC battlecruisers. I think that price is very reasonalble if not too expensive compared to the Dreden and HC ships.

I'd give the Imperial Dreadnought a price of around 110 / 125,000,000 credits. It has some excellent shielding, but grundy has a point... The Liberty could easily blast that thing with its superior firepower. Mac gets the final call.
Thanks Skyblade, but i belive I was the one with the point I could live with 110,000,000 for it but I do think that its more than 15 or 30 million credits inferior to the Republic, 105 still seems reasonable to me.

Did you notice you put on 24 Fighters which cost 1.4 million each? THat's 33.6 million of the cost. I know very well it was patterned after the Skyhawk, which does not come with fighters included. Subtraction will show you that the ship itself is 11.4 million, quite fair given that you did add more weapons.

Quality over quantity. Ours are simple turrets, yours are a beam better than the Alien's big red beam from the original. Doing a direct statistical comparison (something I rarely do, since we don't want to get too bogged down with numbers), the 50 F-P Beams on your Alien Dreadnought have roughly twice the firepower of the Republic's 500 turrets.
For the rest: Shields+Armor: somewhat better than Republic Speed: nearly double Weapons: 1000 Seeker Modules have at least the damage of 2000 Torpedoes, and with an equivalent 50 Launchers they pump that damage out faster (as each unit does more, and units fire same speed). You also have the Drill Bombs, which can apparently do a lot of damage to armor with one bomb (I've never seen even a relative value, but it seems to be one-two shot(s) kill), and the TLRTs, which the Republic has nothing to match. Tractors may not do damage, but they can really screw up a ship. I'd have to say roughly 220,000,000 on this, a lot of which is based on the utterly overwhelming turrets. If you want to cut those by about half, it would fall to more in the 170-180 million range.
If anyone's wondering, systems like this, comparing every aspect to the most comparable ship I can find (and often others - I ran some of these numbers against the Macross also, and even a few against the Liberty without mentioning), is a reasonable amount of my pricing system.
