Well, just take into account that a small band of pirate fighters are likely to go into panic as well once they see HC fighters badly outnumbering them, guns blazing. The case could be the same with both sides.

We'll make those losses official, since you guys seem to agree with them for the most part. Carry on with the battle.

Alright spl, my humblest apologies for my misspelling of your gunboat. Still, wouldn't you say the price needs to be changed, simpyl based on the fact that it is now better then it was, with no additional cost? Granted, it would be silly to try and change the outcome of already fought battles by going back in time, but still the price should go up by a couple million for future purchases, since you are basically doubling the shields and armor on that ship.

Also, for my future refrence, how many missiles does it take to destroy a stingray? Are the maneuverabilty stats between weapons and spacecraft on the same scale? Hope you find my new post satisfactory Spl, after all whereas your gunboats may be more heavily shielded, they are still outnumbered roughly thriteen to one when looking at my Stingrays. Come on KK! Move them capital ships!

Er... does that leave me back at square one, fighting just KK? And if his post about going to Sol is void, as it obviously is, wouldn't he still be in Perseus, and therefore technically able to make it to Pollux? And does he have to stop to receive his reinforcements, or can they meet up with him when he is on the move, and not engaged as he seemingly would have been?

Of course I'm not complaining if I get to have 50 or more of my Stingrays back.

Well, 3 LRBMs would have to actually hit it. How many would have to be fired to hit it three times is anyone's guess given the maneuverability.

Basically, it does leave you at square one. Here's the long version: spl_cadet said he was leaving Perseus to go to Sol. Leaving Perseus is legal, so I'm granting him that and placing him at Darven. His reinforcements arrive once he gets there. Either way, he can't reach Pollux. The 6 jumps is distance without refueling, there's a separate, flat, per post speed limit of three jumps for us and the Pirates and 4 for the Aliens and Dreden (advancced tech.) So, you can just edit out your post where you replied to him, and all will be fine.

The missile I was referring to is the original EV Missile, which is apparently half the power of a full blast from one of these new cluster Missiles. Also, about the stat change, Spl mentioned this:

"(Note: After checking the HC shipyard, I've decided to retroactively boost the shields of the Deborah to 160 and armor to 40. Otherwise there are fighters that have better shielding than it and this is a gunboat)"

This was stated at the end of one of his posts of battle against me, just wondering if that affects pricing.

1. Pirates tend to research more into advanced propulsion and manueverability systems than do their HC counterparts.
2. You're right they don't. They instead carry 2 particle beam cannon, 4 bomb racks, 16 bombs, 2 Torpedo Launchers, 20 Torpedoes, 6 HALO Missile Launchers, and 300 HALO Missiles. With all due respect, I feel the price should stay the same or even drop and that we should be allowed to keep the stat change.

I updated the map with everything except the deal with Jager. Frankly, that's so crazy I think I'm just going to void it under the new suicide clause, designed specifically for that kind of situation. 😛 Doing it the way he thought he could, it half-way makes sense, so I don't want to punish an innocent attempt at rules violation by docking his entire fleet (which is what would wind up happening, more or less, after the dust settled). Therefore, he stays at Kaujathin with a full fleet. Anyone who wants to complain about that , stick it up your @$$, since it runs squarely counter to my governments best interest. 😛

Not if it is a running trend that has been well established. After all, the Dreden and Aliens get an extra jump or something and they don't have to pay extra to incorporate it into their ships.

I think that mini plug is a great idea. I atcually thought about it a few days ago, but realized the limitation of 32 ships. But we could do certain parts, such as the questionableness of the Alien Heavy Cruiser battles.

But, uh, I won't make the plug! 😛

Yeah, RC's absence is really holding up the entire Dreden Navy. :frown:

You'd probably be better off remaining in Verdica, away from the battle. If you leave, it's possible that retreating aliens or the fleet in the north will route and defeat what you have left. Besides, I intend on evening out fleet numbers after the battle is over.

It wasn't, I voided it. just too crazy, though not necessarily a bad plan if he could jump out immediately, as he thought. I'm not going to wipe his fleet out for that though - that's way more than he deserves for an apparently innocent violation, and it would practically cripple the whole Empire. Not going there.

BTW, Kyle, your fleet range without refueling is 6, but you can travel four per post, OK? That's a flat amount.
(edit) Went ahead and moved you to Irakkis, since that was the farthest you could reach in one post along your flight path. As soon as an HC or Dreden player moves, feel free to move four spaces farther.(/edit)

/me ponders... I could probably kick RC and co. out to Ellsondor under the suicide clause... might do that if he doesn't move himself soon. 😉

spl - The Alien and Dreden ships cost a wee bit more on average than comparable human types. 😉
