While topics other then endlessly repeating polls are foreign to you, they are not "spam". There is actually a lot more spam here then there is on the EV Banter and Brawl.
I actually did talk to a moderator about it, Soviet mikee, who has stated what he thinks of all this. It would be wise to follow your forum leader.

Couldn't you just wash your hands of this version if it really bugs you or something? I'm not passing judgement as to whether this is lame or not, but seriously, Do you hold a copyright on the idea? If not, I don't think you have a whole lot of right to tell Jimbob he can't do this. andrew can since it's his webboard, and probably the moderators too. Mikee hasn't explicitly prohibited it, even if he doesn't like it, so I don't entirely see how you can tell Jimbob not to do this.

In the email I got, you did not fill in a reason. If you can show me some of the posts where I was being an "ass," I would be very glad. And I pointed out that you were wrong when I cited several instances of the B&Ber;'s flaming/spam.

Ofost, coming in here and calling our board "lame newcomers who bastardized your idea" and then going on to call our board nothing but "repetative polls" is scarce what I would call candid. And I don't think that comparing us to the nazis is a step in the right direction, either.
As for soviet's most recent post: That is not a great example of a flame, but calling us bastardizing, lame, insubordinate newcomers is.

The MOTM is a banter and brawl webboard tradition. It is an unwritten rule that webboards do not steal ideas from each other without the consent of the person who invented the idea, which OctoberFost DID for the whole of the Ambrosia Software webboards. It is just not done. Mikee is also a mod for banter and brawl, so he realizes this.

The flaming of newbies is a seperate issue. It is irrelevant to this discussion. I suggest you drop it before this topic fufills it's Sierra's Law destiny and a flame war starts. For the sake of clarity, please keep focused on this very important discussion.
