I use a variety of names, mostly from books I happen to be reading around that time. When I play a plugin, however, I tend to use the initials of that plugin for my pilot name: Fred Harris for Frozen Heart, for example.

As for the topic, back when I would play EV, my pilots were: EVula obvious reasons Jargon less obvious reasons, suffice it to say that its a standard naming convention for me. For example, my old Hotline server's bot was/is Jargon. Hybrid Drac my cheater pilot (at the end of a bad day, cheating is fun)

Alrighty, you made up for it.
After a certain amount of time, all my pilots end up being named after the ship they fly, the storyline they're on, or using one of the default names.

Common pilot names I use:
Luke (take a wild guess) Swamp Witch (when playing for pirates) Arnold Benedict (when playing Rebel missions in plugs) Benedict Arnold (when playing fed missions in plugs) Thisismyname (stop laughing at me!) Luke (INSERT NAME OF CHEAP PLUG HERE) (when just checking out small-scale or buggy plugs) Luke Knight (when all-around mercenary) Whatabum (when cheating) etcetera...

Not me! Although they are similar (in fact, exactly the same), as I said, they are based on my name.

I, for one, like the name Dash Riprock. I suppose I associate fond memories of it because of the great EV Serial Novel based on a character with that name. Not to mention is is the coolest sounding name of the standard ones... Other than that, I typically use only the standard EV names, unless inspiration stikes (say I am watching SNL, and Will Ferrel comes on as George Dubyah).
My friend like the name Dag Yonson. It is some random thing he made up, but I thought it sounded cool.
