Weapons you can only shoot yourself with eh? I like it...
Now all that remains is a Dreden Carrier, correct Azdara? Or should that be a question for Skyblade, Cpt.?

I vote that Monday should be the beginning of the destruction of the HC, also known as the beginning of the webstory. Failing that, we could move it to Tuesday or Wednesday. Anytime later, and it should be postponed till the next Monday because of Thanksgiving.

I hope you aren't referring to this webstory. You are a bunch of thieves, rengades, robbers, and whatever else is related to evil. Believe me, a gang of outlaws is certainly not patriotic...

Look at my last sig. That should explain the way it is. And we aren't thieves, renegades, robbers and all that. That is merely liberal propaganda spouted by the secret polic who control the governments that you are familiar with; the HC, Dreden, and the Aliens. Only the so called "Pirates" are an un-opressive government, concerned for the welfare and rights of the people.

Ah, so technically you are depicting the pirates as loyal rebels, content to restore freedom to the galaxy (cough, cough)? Look, the Human Confederation is the former Rebellion. And the Rebellion was the one who wished to bring freedom back to the Milky Way, by getting rid of the corrupt Confederation. The HC is not a government like the Confederation of old. Instead, the HC are independent worlds united together to fight for the common good. If there there was complete peace, the HC would break up and let the galaxy continue to prosper on its own. You are fighting human beings who wish to fight troublemakers, not corrupt idiots. The truth is, pirates are selfish weirdos, wanting nothing more than to satisfy their own desires. And the desire of the pirate government is to overthrow any opposition in the Milky Way, get as much money as they can, and rule the galaxy with dictatorship.

1. The rebellion simply wanted to transfer power and money from the core worlds to the outer colonies. 2. How is it not like the Confederation? IIRC, the Confederation was never beaten. They simply allied with the Rebellion in BFSII. 3. If they were independant then they would have their own ship designs, monetary systems, laws, strategies, etc. What you are suggesting is reminecent of the old Confederate States of America. And even looser actually. Suffice to say, you in no way have these systems as independant. 4. Sure, like you would really let them go. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. 5. You have politicians don't you? So how are we not fighting corrupt idiots? 6. Of course not. We follow a strict code of honor. We want everyone to be able to live their life to the fullest extent with honor.
Ummm...The weapons, they're held inside the ship and brought out in time of battle. This ship is extremely advanced, and has highly advanced sensory equiptment, powerful and efficient engines, massive size(the reason for "Titan"), a innovative targeting system, fighters, a practically indestructable hull, "smart shields" and many more innovations. This ship is roughly....I'd say about 10 times the size of an Athena Battle Gunship. While the carrier will be bigger, this is the ship that most Dreden players will want to use as their capital ship. Okay, now to explain this advanced technology...The sensory equiptment is equivilent to about that of a space station with the single purpose of measuring, sensory etc. It's scanners can detect objects light years away, and it's central computer can process trillions of figures by the second. The engines on the Titan thrust the ship up to 350(I don't know what units), a extremely good speed for such a large ship. The size, I've already mentioned. Before I tell you about the targeting system, I need to explain one aspect of the armour. The Titan has the outer hull, visible in the picture, and it has an inner hull, which isn't as thick. The targeting system can track tons of ships at the same time, and can move its turrets freely around in betweewn the two hulls, so that the Titan can efficiently allocate the proper amount of firepower to enemy ships. Fighters..well...though it doesn't hold that many fighters, it holds a bunch. The hull contains trillions of energy-consuming bacteria, so much of the power of energy weapons is absorbed without inflicting damage. The shields can be allocated to any part of the ship immediately, so even with 20% shields, the ship is still in fairly good condition. Here are the stats:
Speed: 350 Acceleration:*** Manuverability:*** Weapons: 50 turrets(I don't remember the name)(maybe more or less), 30 Crickets, 10 Lynxes, and Captain Skyblade can fill(modify) in all of the rest of missing weapons stats etc., I'm in a rush and I can't take time to look
Soory if it is too unrealistic, I was just feeling creative, so not all of tthe things discussed above have to apply.

Alrighty, if you want me to, I'll post the final stats for the Titan.

Mac: I was reading through your revised rules, and I had a few suggestions:
Limiting a fleet to three jumps every topic page is a bit roo restrictive. Fleets that wish to take on a tactical advantage rather than engage straight on will need to be allowed to make more jumps in a topic page (especially the pirates. They'll get murdered if they aren't allowed to move more often). I'd recommend raising the number from three jumps to maybe five or six.
About choosing fleets: Perhaps we should have the government leaders assign fleets to their commanders and players? In a real government, this would be the case. What I have in mind is that the player decides what he wishes to be: A fighter wing commander, a fleet commander, a recon commander, a capital warfleet commander etc (and whatever else a player might wish to add to that list). After the players have selected which type of fleet they would like best, the government leader selects their ships according to purchasing rules. The government leader should have a lead in this area, so that he will have a better chance of taking on the enemy at the start of the game. Just a suggestion...
By the way, once we're ready to start BFS III, I'll start the topic if you like. I plan on making it one darn long post as well (explaining rules, restrictions etc.).
Alright Mac, (important)PUT ME IN FARAZON.(/important)

If you read it more carefully, I believe it will say three per post. Theoretically, that means a fleet could move up to 60 jumps per page if the commander was on constantly.

I think it's more fun for the players if they get to setup their own fleets, though I know my players are certainly having their shoulder looked over while they do it. I encourage players to work with their leaders on that, but I think the player should get the final call. We leaders do get to do all the fleet updates, after all. BTW, HC starting locations are all being assigned by me. Moose, that means you're in the Propus system.

Nah, I'll do it. I can explain the rules with very little (url="http://"http://members.home.net/e-gamerguy1/ev/bfs3/rules.html")text on the webboard(/url), and I have a few other things to do in the first post.
spl_cadet, on the starting date: BfS III will start when it starts, which will be when I decide it's all ready. I will, however, take your idea about Thanksgiving into consideration.
Skyblade again - Again, I still need stats for the Athena(?) Battle Gunship, and while you're at it, can I also have stats for the Carrier or whatever your last ship(s) will be?

If they want to. And Moose, run through your fleet again, and use a calculator this time. You exceeded the limit by 55 million.

I dont' have a calc, so I cut half my fighters and trade two Skyhawks for a Skyblade Frigrate. _ 2 H. Cruisers 3 B. Cruisers 4 Cruisers 5 Scimitars 3 Skyhawks 10 Destroyer M8s 4 Skyblade Frigrates 5 Hammerheads 5 Tigersharks 30 Swordfish 30 Skate _

Now you're 40 million under... Should I just fill the remaining space with Skyblade Frigates?

No, add 20 Skates(10 mil), 20 Swordfish(10 mil), and 4 Skyblade Frigrates(20 mil).

Moose's fleet posted.
I think I've also forgot to mention that if anyone wants their name changed to a character name or something, let me know and I can change that. Also, I scaled down the Sentarus Map so it would look more like the Milky Way Scale wise; check that out and let me know what you think. If you all hate it, I can change it back very easily.
The main thing I have to worry about is spl's Battle Fortress.
