Your clause may be simpler, but it's very inaccurate and doesn't allow for the setting of any kind of defense at all. When a fleet jumps into a system, by EV physics, it has to stay in for several seconds before it can jump out. There is no working around that point without using crappy cheat plugs, which don't count. For strategical and realistic reasons, fleets passing through systems with an enemy fleet can be given some presents on the way out by the defending fleet. Now, we just have to go figure out how to gift wrap bombs again.

Mercs on the take docs to Sol? Don't make me laugh. I could get by them in a Shuttle, easily. I'm talking about jumping into a system and jumping out immediately when there's a Corvette or Kestrel there. I only do that when I'm in a hurry for some reason though, since in a fair fight I look upon Corvettes as "Oh boy, some pirates want to give me a chunk of cash!" when I'm in my Scout.

If you can fly freely through a system that I'm blockading, then I can't set up any kind of defensive line, to keep you from running around like a headless chicken through my Core Worlds. There has to be some kind of deterrent to that.

Mac, I'm a PIRATE. I pride myself on my highly developed ability to slip through, among and around those ridiculous HC blockades. (Yes. Even with my whole fleet!) It is my livelihood. And the reason I am still around in BFS III is wholly due to this highly developed and effective skill. (Arrgh!)

I have a compromise solution. For when a fleet jumps through a system with an enemy fleet there, the first fleet can be shot at by any fighters and gunships of the defending fleet that weren't docked. So if you have 30 fighters available and 20 docked, the 30 fighters would be able to launch whatever missiles/torpedos they may have at the enemy fleet before it jumps back out.

But Mac has a good point as well. Don't tell me that just because the Human Confederation is a bigger government, they too can't perform the same operations. I know that he isn't stupid, what I suggested above could be done by any fleet. Or maybe it could be something like a fleet commander could set a certain amount of ships on patrol, and then if an enemy fleet jumped in, only ships on patrol could attack.
Skyblade, while you're around - could you post your stats for all the remaining Dreden ships, and then I can post them in the shipyard when Azdara Ace gets graphics done? We need stats for the Battle Gunship and the two ships you were going to do after that (Heavy Cruiser and Carrier, I think?)

KK, if you want to go through blockades, maybe you should do it with interesting tactics, like diversions, or slipping through actual holes in the thing... I mean, there aren't an infinite number of fleets, you should be able to find a way around. Think of it like chess! Or maybe don't... considering Mac.
