I could simply alter the colors of some of the original Override and EV graphics if you want. Usually when I create graphics with Infini-D and import them into EV (or Override), they seem a bit grainy, even though they were rendered in 8-bit color. Changing the hue and saturation levels of the EV graphics is quite simple and quick...

Well, I'm really not picky. As long as looks different, new, and cooler, that's all that I care about. Whatever is easier for you, or whatever you think looks best, is what I encourage you to do.
Yes, corey, your time will come. And when it does come, you will steer the plugin either into the EV Hall of Fame, or into the garbage can. The missions make the plugin, and good missions means a good plugin.
In the meantime, we can use your input on graphics and other stuff that comes up. Or, if you are bored, you can help me with the technology. When will you have the ship graphics done? Don't need them anytime in specific, just wondering.
Note: I have plugged in some free ships in for some merchant ships (IE Shuttle, argosy, freighters...) so don't make anything to replace those.

Well, I think we can talk here. Email is always problematic for me, and I don't think anyone is reading this topic other than us and a few others. We have... some privacy here.
So are you saying that you want to help with technology? I'm sort of frusterated with myself now, because I just got a whole lot done, and it looks like I can do it myself a whole lot faster than I thought. I have a plan for all that I need, so it may be quicker if I just get it done on my own. Sorry to mislead you, but I didn't do it on purpose...
Right now, the plugin is not ready to be messed with. I mean, there is a whole lot missing and under construction. I am updating it every day several times in the smallest ways, and it's growing so fast that it would be hard to have several people working at once.
Once I have all the ships and technology done, and Skyblade gives me the ship graphics, I can quickly touch it up and add some little things (like fleets, dudes and personalities) and then we can dig into the missions. After doing so many stupid little tedious things (STRs and the like) I am really looking forward to doing the missions, which is more creativity than monotony.
On my site is a now outdated version without spobs or most of the tech, so you may not be interested in it. If you do want to check some of it out, be my guest...
(Hey, are you guys going to beta test this with me? I will get a few people outside of the dev team to help beta test, too.)

I just struck gold. I found this guy who makes landscapes for EV, and he has the coolest ev landscapes that I have ever seen. I am going to incorporate some of his awesome work into the plug. I'm a little surprised you just now discovered this guy's website. I used many of his landing scenes for my "Dreden War" plugin. That website is rather well known... He's got some nice graphics.

I have not been in the EV Community (especially the plug-in developers community) for a long, long time. All of the sites that I once knew are now gone... So I'm sort of finding out everything for the first time.
We are getting some more RAM for this puppy (160 right now. Getting a lot more, but don't know how much), a 60 gig hard drive or so, and maybe even a new motherboard with 500mhz and a firewire port.
But that is about... $600 right there. So it may be a while (Christmas).
How are the graphics coming?

Yeap, RAM is always nice. I've only got 64 in my iMac, but with VirtualRam enabled, I can easilly run Photoshop, Internet Explorer, and ResEdit at the same time. But as cheap as RAM is at the moment, I could easilly purchase one gig at the moment...
Speaking of RAM, I ordered the 512meg for $60 about a week ago. If you want RAM, get it now while it's dirt cheap.

As for as the graphics are concerned, I'm currently working on the Skyblade missile and launcher. I'm altering the original EV missile graphics, but they should do fine once I'm through. Is that alright with you?

Ouch, Skyblade. You hosed yourself a bit there. Last week I knew of at least one site selling it for $46, not counting shipping. Yes, that's 512 MB.
