I usually fly the Rapier for the extra space, but the Lightning's speed makes Confed missiles look like sluggish rockets. Go ahead and give a vote for the Lightning, just to take away the "one pitiful vote" status.

Lightning. The Rapier just doesn't cut it. The torpedoes are worthless. Of course I never use secondaries anyway.

Lightning. I usually make it a little better with ResEdit (hey, I make it cost more!), but even without my modifications, the Lightning is still better. Faster, better weapons, and I think it looks better than a Rapier. Rapier = Blue-tipped Marshmallow. Lightning = High-tech F-16.
