It also seems to me that many members have said "Soandso Topic should be locked" many a time, with no results. No topics are locked on request I imagine, so I obviously can't know for sure if thats because the mods haven't taken notice or not. But I have heard there is a rule that Topics are locked once they reach the two hundred post mark, and I haven't seen that happen here either.

Seriously, the fact that there don't seem to be any active mods around this board is why everyone is calling for a new one. We just don't see Micah L or any of the others around here anymore. I've been here since May, and Mikee is the only one I've seen lock a topic on this board, and it's been at least a couple of months.

No, David doesn't care too much about his karma, he doesn't post for karma improvements. If you've payed much attention to his posts, you could probably tell that he isn't that sort of person. The thought has crossed my mind that andrew would like to see someone get there, and hasn't offered him modertorship yet to give him time to get there. That's purely wild, unfounded thoughts on my part - I wouldn't even call it speculation, just a thought that occurred to me.

I havn't seen a lot of spam or stuff of this board that I think needs to be deleted. Whatever mods we have must be doing a decent job... But if we did need a new moderator, andrew and the other mods (and maybe other intelligent people in Andrew's inner circle) could survey the board a bit for a few days and vote amongst themselves, privatly contacting the winner(s) to make sure that they are willing.
Or something like that.

Actually, there isn't a lot of spam around here because most of the inhabitants are pretty well behaved. However, there are some mundane things, like locking topics that get over 200 posts, that aren't being done. Also, there are a couple of topics floating that should be locked (like Space Between's To Flauntlence or however he speeled it) that aren't getting it. We should have at least one regular to this board that is a mod that can do things like that, and right now this board doesn't have one.
