spl_cadet -
I am very sorry to have to do this here, as I have no interest in starting a public flame war. I would much prefer to send you an e-mail to this effect, but your e-mail is not listed. If you want to reply to this, please do so by e-mailing me. I do not wish to publically attack you here, but at this stage I have no choice as to how to do it.
in my opinion, your recent actions and assertions on the BFS II thread have been insane. Not the good kind of insane that crazy people on the boards almost all have, but stupid insane.
It appears that you have no respect at all for Alien technology, which is widely regarded as being the best. You also have no appreciation for the fact that other people posting to the thread are quite intelligent, and are not automatically going to fall for your traps.
I have no clue about the battle from anime you mention where ships smash into the planet, because I rather dislike all things anime, and pay as little attention as possible to them. I also don't see how it makes any difference to the discussion. Sending 18 Interceptors after a fleet is not insane by itself, nor does it have any bearing on whether someone will be stupid enough to crash ships into a planet. The Aliens would figure this out before they got too close, and would turn around, leaving your ships to smash into the planet, or destroy them easily if they swerved to avoid it.
Further, in this instance, sending out 18 Interceptors as a pursuit force is not insane. Your fleet was already heavily damaged, and was low or out of ammunition. Further, the Aliens had vastly superior technology. Quite simply, you lacked the firepower to destroy those 18 fighters, and they certainly had firepower to destroy your fleet. Remember that Alien Interceptors have 300 Armor, a very high recharge speed, and as as fast and manuverable as the best ships in your fleet. Obviously, they have a significant advantage there, and taht advantage was greatly increased by the fact that no one had significant ammunition left. Alien Beams are much more powerful than your Proton Cannons.
I have also witnessed at least two times that you tried to use manuverability as an ultimate advantage to inflict impossibly high losses on an enemy with little cost to yourself. This may work on the in-game engine, when flying against AIs, but that does not in any way apply here.
Your post at the start of the battle with rebel council is a perfect example. In it, you attempt to destroy 287 million credits worth of ships, and lose only 16.2 million credits worth of ships. This is rather ludicrous on the face of it, and becomes more so with a glance at the respective advantages of each side.
Your advantage: Slightly better speed and manuverability rebel council's advantages: Surprise Much more powerful weapons Much more powerful shielding Drops out amongst your ships, compounding confusion
Does this look ludicrous, stupid, etc. to you? It sure does to me.
Overall, I find your attiude on the thread to be rather rude, seldom giving fellow memebers a chance to reply, and sometimes insulting their intelligence in the process. You have also done many stupid things which are not permitted by the rules, or which were so unreasonable that we never thought we'd need to put provisions against them in the rules.
At this point in time, I will not be sorry to see you leaving the thread Saturday, though my judgement on that may still be a bit clouded at this point.

No offence cadet, but Mac is totally right. We all make posts sooner or later with minor mistakes, but your battle posts are the only ones with no realism whatsoever. I'd like for you to use more logic before you post, or I may have to ask you to leave the episode II topic.
Thanks.

Actually, he is leaving. I agree that he disregards other members, and has a lack of strategic knowledge. He has also previously posted absurd losses and using weapons twice on the now deleted Levo battle against me.

OK, enough about that post, please drop the subject. I don't want any more replies to it, as i said, I don't even want it to be public, but I have no choice at this point. If spl_cadet wants to respond to me, he can do it via e-mail, and that's all I want to see about it.

Skyblade, I believe you should correct this.

Double "I"? I can't seem to find the mistake your speaking of...Which title are you referring to?
im afraid with school and such i will not be able to continue into this story.i resign and give my rank to the first person who wants it.

On the cover picture of this very topic.
Looks like all the pirates are resigning.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Those two "I"s are so hard to see I never even noticed the mistake. I'll fix the graphic when I get the chance. Thanks for pointing that out.
Great! Another pirate resigned? This isn't good...
If there are any players who wish to replace the pirate positions, you get the fleet with it.
OK, this whole battle of Levo thing isn't working out here, but I have a solution. No one gets to post about it for now, and Captain Skyblade and I will work out the details by e-mail, then edit and delete as necessary, and open the battle back up.
I've updated the shipyard pics, but keep in mind that these updates are temporary, and solely for the purpose of displaying what technology exists. Prices in most cases and statistics in some cases are inaccurate. I'm working on that. For accurate prices on all ships released to date, go (url="http://"http://members.home.net/e-gamerguy1/ev/bfs2/ShipPriceIndex.html")here(/url).

Hey Rak, this is what I just cut/pasted from your post in the story thread.
"Wow, what a self deficating comment"
Normally I try not to criticize a member's spelling. But your post is either hilarious ... or salacious. You decide which.
a) There is no such word as "deficating".
Do you mean "defecating"? (I hope not!)
c) Or do you mean "depricating"?
Please do look up the words -- you will LOL!

Figures.
Very subliminal sarcasm
Mac (or General Rak, since you're doing the map now)- where is ErsadtSF's HC fleet? I can't seem to find it on the map...

I believe it is in Barnard, ready to be picked up. Possibly you could give me control over the current remains of your fleet and just say you transferred command to ErsadtSF's fleet?

Hmmm. I'd prefer to stay in command of my current fleet at Rigel, so I give you temporary control over ErsadtSF's fleet until he returns to post for his fleet himself. I'm not sure what ship classes and how many vessels he has, but feel free to take his fleet to Capella along with yours. After all, I believe he is a three star fleet commander, so you could order ErsadtSF's fleet to head for Capella anyway.
