From the American Heritage College Dictionary, Third Edition:
shuttle- a vehicle used in regular travel back and forth over an established route -well, they are only good for passenger missions.
scout- one that is dispatched from a main body to gather information -makes sense, it's good for exploring the galaxy.
courier- a messenger -?
clipper- a sharp-bowed sailing vessel that was built for great speed -yeah, right.
argosy- a large merchant ship -exactly.
rapier- a light sharp-pointed sword used only for thrusting -the old fire-all-your-torps-while-zooming-toward-your-target maneuver.
corvette- a fast, lightly-armed warship, smaller than a destroyer -I swear, you can look it up yourself!
kestrel- any of various small falcons, belonging to the genus Falco -named after a predatory bird. makes sense.
manta- any of several rays of the family Mobulidae, having a large flattened body and winglike pectoral fins -so, in other words, triangle-shaped.
cruiser- one of a class of fast warships of medium tonnage with a long cruising radius and less armor and firepower than a battleship -but, since battleships don't exist in EV, they're the toughest things out there.

Apparently, I have more free time than you guys then, (except probably Skyblade) since I've got around double his(Rawzer's) posts and I've only been here about 3 weeks.

I wouldn't exactly say I have plenty of time on my hands, but I do spend a good deal of my free time at these boards. To me, the Ambrosia boards are one of my favorite places to visit...

Yeah, I agree about the boards, I said except you because i don't think I'll make 3000+ posts in 4+ months. 2000+, maybe, but not 3000.
Let me put it this way: Yes, I do have a lot of free time (school's out!), but I don't spend it all on the boards. The reason I don't have many posts is that, well, have you seen the length of most of them? They're huge! Usually. Also, I don't need to use a lot of posts to get my point across. I'm usually very straight forward.
But, aren't you guys suprised at all about those definitions? Matt Burch must have really researched the names! Argosy, Corvette, etc.; those definitions hit the bulls-eye!
Who cares about posts? Or free time? I'm a kid! Well, young teen, but still, I'm supposed to have a lot of free time!
By the way, the time spent when I'm not on the boards consists of work. Homework, yardwork, and working on making money in EV!

You never know how many posts you'll have in a short matter of time. I really made too many posts in February, in which I had just over thousand by the end of the month (funny thing is, nobody ever said I spammed). I've slowed down now, as I've learned to always put quality ahead of quantity.

After seeing the quality of EV what were we to expect? (I have a friend who frequently tells me I MUST check out some game he found on his Windows machine. They always stink!) It is apparent Matt DID spend a great deal of time in preparation, planning and development of EV.

You're right, he did spend a lot of time in the names of the ships. BTW, I made a hundred posts in two days once. Another reason I think Rawzer is down on posts is because he only stays at this board. I usually go to four or five a day. I think SD has the most free time on htis board. I bet that if he had only one name he would have more posts than andrew. (andrew has over 10,000 posts)

Many members do that. For my first 800-1000 posts, I only posted at the EV and EVO forums. But now, you can find me just about anywhere on the Ambrosia forums...
You can also go to a few others without having ever played the game, 'cos they never talk about the game just chat (that is a good name for the forum. i see why it was chosen ;)).

Just that definition. The clipper was a large ship that was capable of holding a fair amount of cargo. The clipper isn't too big, but it can hold a decent amount of supplies, and no it isn't a very fast ship. What does frigate mean.
You guys don't like the clipper? It should turn faster, but once you upgrade its engines, it's a pretty decent ship. Four proton cannons, javelin rockets...
By the way, Skyblade, do you have a cable modem or something. I don't see any other way you can post so much.

You mean it takes a while to send in messages over a phone connection? I found these boards after I got cable( :D), but I can't imagine it taking very long to send simple text.
And the Scoutship is a much better ship than the Clipper.
