Just out of curiosity, how is PoG going to be available after release?
I'm fairly sure that we have all heard how it is a "100MB+ epic," and I suppose that Ambrosia may make it available for download for those users with cable and DSL, but what about the rest of us? Will it be released on CD?
As a side issue, if any Coldstone testers are here (and are allowed to reply) what is the approximate size of Coldstone? From what I've noticed in the Beta directory of the ftp site, the compressed version of b3 was over 70MB. I suppose that CS would also be downloadable, and also available on CD for those people (like me), who still use 56k or slower Internet?
I was also wondering if It would be possible if Ambrosia would sell both CS and PoG on the same CD (they should both fit) for a discount price for buying them seperately? (Note: I am not asking the price at this time!)
Just thought that that would make more sense, giving people the option to purchase both PoG and CS together as a bundle. Like the Marathon Trilogy for example. Or maybe Infinity and Forge....

Releasing CS and PoG as a bundle would be a good idea. I'd buy it. However, my gut instinct tells me that it won't happen. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

PoG will be released on a CD. I don't know how ColdStone wll be released, but I'd guess on a CD. Simply because it's easiest for Ambrosia, and they are both going to be relatively inexpensive. PoG will only cost $65, I've heard.... /me smiles Of course it's not $65. Keep guessing.

I think I'd have to go with $30. A game that big would have to cost a little more than one you could easily download. If anything, they need a little extra to cover the cost of burning and packaging the cd, which they don't usually have to do with their other games.
actually, yeah. I remember andrew telling the testers that we'd have to pay a $5 charge for having the CD sent to us (but the game is free...). So what they migh do is offer a downloadable version (without the cinematics), and offer a burned version for the extra $5. or, maybe they'll charge $30 and make you get it on CD with the cutscenes just because they can.
