Where can I get ResEdit? It seems a lot of you are having fun with it and I'm missing out! Rebel Council knows what I'm talking about!

ResEdit could probably be found on one of Apple's software sites (the URL escapes me), or on software sites like versiontracker.com or download.com.
------------------ EVula (url="http://"mailto:evula@evula.com")mailto:evula@evula.com(/url)evula@evula.com
It is in the add-on files: utilities section on this site.

WARNING: Beware of the urges, if you make you ship to powerful you can conquer all the planets(bouble edged knife) you get alot of money but the game gets boring (plug use nacecary). You may not care but its a fact with ResEdit.

If you can hack javascript, then resedit should not be a problem*. Download the EVBAE (EV bible annotated addition) from the addons section. IT explains what everything that you will see in resedit means. It also has a "resedit template" which tells resedit how to interpret the EV resources. If you have $256, get resorcerer, its much cooler.
*I do javascript (among other things), and consider it among the worst programming environments ever conceived-- debugging JS is nearly impossible. The only thing worse was microsoft's attempt at a windows-macintosh cross-compiler for Visual Studio. Microsoft cancelled it after the first release.
Apple.com would be a good place to look.

ResEdit is simple(most of the time) mostly editing original material weapons, ships and up grades. When you get into the missions it gets triky.Very triky.

You don't actualy change the programing, you only change the stats.
You know JavaScript very well? Wow, I'm still working on that. I've got HTML down pretty good, and I'm still trying with Javascript. I've also used a bit of CGI, and I would love to learn Perl one day...

I never got used to Resedit. Sure, it's nice for basic editing, but I can't gather the patience to read the EV Bible all the way through.
So I stick with proper editors most of the time.

Yeah, I've learned in order of learing:
Logo Hexadecimal (technically not a language but it helps) html (doc format, I know) Python
My plan for learning is:
Finish learning Python Perl Java C C++
No BASIC for me!

RealBasic is an excellent program! My older brother knows C++, and now he's getting really good with RealBasic 3. He also knows some Perl...
...and JavaScript is a good program to know (well, just remember that Java and Javascript are different. Javascript is used for websites, while Java is used for games and plugins etc.)
I stink! You people are talking about all the systems and, I dont know sqat. Maybe I should learn some thing too. But what? How? Help!
