On that screen it should say somewhere what it does allow. Your bounce should be (example)
internic, uplink test server, banks, (company you are hacking) public acess server, (company you are hacking) central mainframe
The last two NEED to be in that order. Of course, personal computers cannot be connected to...does the mission say there is a LAN involved?

I am connecting to their Local Area Network, so I guess it is a LAN. Damn, does that mean I need to get a lot of expensive stuff?

Lots of expensive stuff indeed. LAN equiptment is the most expensive software in the game I beleive
Well that sucks. Should I abandon the mission, or just take others to get more money?
Got another question. I took on one of the "Our esteemed colleague wants to make a donation" missions. I transferred the money, deleted the statement at the account where I transfered. Then I go to the bank where I transferred the money and delete the statement. I replied, and they said the money wasn't sent. Was I not supposed to delete the statements?
You do not need to delete the statements, but do delete your logs AFTER you have transferred it. If you delete anything before it cancels it out. And about your LAn mission, it might bring your rating down a bit, you you might as well hang on to it until you get the equiptment, you can practice hacking LANs with it.
Ah crap, I deleted the statements. Does that mean I have to do it again?

I beleive so, and if he doesnt have enough money, make him take out a loan
ok this is probebly going to be the dummbest question youve heard but, why is important who you bounce through like internic why does that mater

One more question. Why are there some programs that have the same description between programs? Trace tracker v. 3.0 and v. 4.0 have the same description, and v. 4.0 costs more. Did Introversion throw this in to make the game a teeny tiny ever so frivolent bit harder?

Thunderforge--Trace tracker 3 and 4 both show how much time is remaining in seconds, but three is updated every 10 seconds about, and 4 is updated every second.

If you do not delete your logs at your first bounce, they will eventually catch you through a passive trace. InterNIc is handy because they never trace you or change their admin password.

Trace Tracker v3 only displays time as of each bounce; Trace Tracker v4 makes an estimate of the time remaining.

Wow, I didnt even know that..
If I know a password, say for InterNIC, and I want to delete all logs from there since it was my first bounce, do I need to delete the logs for that connection (since I didn't use the password cracker).

Well, you do not need to delete any logs other than the "Routed to" logs from internic, as they dont get you in trouble. normally, accessing an admin account, even if you dont use the password breaker, activated an active trace. If possible you should use a "readwrite" account, unless you need to have admin privilages.

You shoudl get rid of everything pertaining to you except the most recent Connection Established log, otherwise there would a Connection Closed log, with no matching Connection Established log.
