Shameless Advertising

The only people in the Ares main RPG are myself, Pharris, and Darkk. Please, people, it's time we had some more people in our RPG's! Even the other, debatably more popular RPG's have recently sunk into obscurity. I implore you to join one of the RPG's.

If we find the RPG interesting, then we'll join.

So why cant i do it?

I'll get back into the RPG soon, with some attempt at a good excuse for why nothing's been mentioned about my character for so long.

How about "detained in mental facility" for your excause? 😉

Heh, just kidding...maybe he could be undercover trying to find out something, then again I don't like the RPG so I don't have any idea what you character is like.

Well, it's like this Avatara. The Ares webboards has already had one major RPG - the RPG which uses Ares as a base. This RPG has been thoroughly played out. People are sick of it. Now, I come along and try another idea which people might like. I use plugins that are already released, to form an RPG in a different universe. You put it down to not being a very interesting RPG. I put it down to cantbestuffed.

I'm not alone in that statement, I'm entitled to my own opinion. I thought you asked us why we aren't in it, or if we would like to be.

Let me rephrase my previous statement.

"In my personal opinion, I do not have any interest in any of the current Ares RPGs."

"I'm a controversial figure. My friends either dislike me or hate me."

Sorry Avatara, I respect your opinion, what I was really aiming at were people who don't fall into your category.

I'd like to join, but only if it's new. I can't catch up on those things.

It's pretty new, but re-reading Try Again will take alot of time nevertheless. I suppose that would only be necessary if you were joining as a character from SETR or M:Inv, otherwise, Chapter 2 will suffice.

I would gladly join an Ares RPG. It's just I don't know were to join and don't have much experience. If some one explained it to me clearly I would definite join.

Well, you could set your character up in a way where they don't know what's going on, and they require some other character to explain it to them. I haven't been in the RPG for about a month, so I recently got back in in a situation like that.

Basically, you read the recent posts in the RPG, come up with an idea for a character, and start posting in the RPG with your character. There are, however, some rules (these were origionally made by Count Altair, who is now Joveia, so if you need any info on them, talk with him):
a) You keep the same character through the entire RPG.
🆒 You can't get yourself killed, or kill anyone else's character.
c) You're only allowed 1 ship to start off, it can be any from default Ares to your own plug.
d) No way can you wish yourself 10000 hvds or 1000000 credits.
e) The only way you can get more ships is by capturing them. Again, the rule of (d) applies here.
f) No superships, no starlances... in other words, if you're ship can beat 6 audemedon cruisers at once, then don't captain it.

Technically Captain Pharris violated this ruling, but this was ok under circumstances.

What if we join the RPG with a character, then later he dies if we decide to permenantly leave the RPG.

This is alright Avatara, provided you don't get anyone else killed in your final heroic act...

I should also stipulate that you can kill your character, in order to re-enter the RPG with a new character. Of course, this will be frowned upon.
