I might be able to go pretty deep, but that's only if I experimented and tried stuff out for several months straight while neglecting pretty much everything else. I also have WITV to work on at the moment, and I've gotten very into MOO2.

Don't forget, I'm bringing Star's End, this year I hope. I'm not sure if it'll test the boundaries of Hera, but I do have a couple of weapons that might make it quite interesting...
Hera can accomplish a lot, but you'll never get a ship with more than 3 weapons, so to speak.
