help! importing pictures!

somehow the pictures are not working...

help! please!

ok... here's how it goes:

  1. i made a new folder in the pictures folder of the game folder
  2. i put my pictures, first .tiff in.

I put some of the pictures into a map, to test, and it comes out weird. Like a 2"x2" box that like "drags" and saves it or something... it looks weird.(and yes, the pictures did come out in Coldstone, just not in the compiled game)

so then, i converted the pictures to .pict, but the same thing happened!

what's going on?

It does need to be either a .pct file or a .png file, not a tiff file. Make sure it's absolutely 72.0 dpi.

thanks.

i did then convert it to PNG, 72dpi, and it worked.

but, i don't see why the pict files weren't working, they were at 72dpi too.

AAAA!

my version of photoshop doesnt work on os x! but then, coldstone works better on 9. but my music is on X. and all my other apps. what to do?

Coldstone only works with .png, .pic, .jpeg, and .bmp. This information is available in the Coldstone Manuel. That Manuel can be found in the Docs folder in your Coldstone folder.

I recommend using .pic files because they are the fastest to load in Coldstone. The .png and .jpeg formats work fine however will not load as fast as .pic. Do not use the .bmp format. From what I have heard it tends to not work well in Coldstone.
