I guess I don't think that the result has much to do with complaining. I'm sorry. I just disagree with you on this. It obviously takes time to work on Coldstone, and I never believed that Ambrosia wasn't working the situation. I am making a game and saw no reason to stop the process. Graphics take a LOT of time to make as well as the story.
For those who are interested (and I do get requests once in a while): I now have AIM. My screenname is Shamannils. I know this is off topic, but I don't see making a new topic for this trivial news.
Anyway, now you know that Ambrosia is, indeed, continuing to work on Coldstone!!

What happened to Carm?

Carm was only retained until June as an intern. That was the original intention.

You are undoubtedly correct. Ambrosia did not want to make such an anouncement while Dominic was still working on his first project (Wiretap) but the plan has always been that he would move onto CS/PoG as soon as that other was out of the way. I take it he's almost done with his first assignment now or there would still be no official word.
Dominic was hired as a full time employee as Carm's term of internship was ending.
All's well that ends well.

Well, one of the things, anyway.
Seriously though, yes, we knew, yes, we couldn't tell, and Dom told us all before the aforesaid 'complaining' occurred, about the time Carm was leaving, if I'm remembering correctly - I had exams on then. So let's all be happy and joyful for a while, eh? Yes?
Good.
Best all,

That explains how you all were acting in that topic . I'm still not going to carry on work on my game until the update is in my hands. In the mean time I have about 5 other projects that need doing.

Yeah wasn't that the soap opera scene that was started? When I was battling TA? I knew I should have broken your staff when I had the chance.....
Please Pilky, work on your other programs; I am very interested in their features, and I believe I will be able th use RPG Designer, pending that it does what it says it can do....a very good organizer indeed.

Well, I've got those apps, two websites, some more apps and an open source game engine to help out with. The game engine should wipe the floor with Coldstone for Myst style adventure games when it is finished. Then again. It is just a perk that coldstone can make them. Coldstone is built for RPGs, not click and point adventures.
I'm glad to see you are interested in RPG designer. I've actually being considering whether to make it integrate with Plot Writer so you can write the dialogue in Plot Writer and then just load it into RPG designer. I don't want to put it as a feature though as I'm not sure about it
I'd be interested if this means that Ambrosia will be able to keep supporting Coldstone to some extent. I can dream
Pilky sez: **Then again. It is just a perk that coldstone can make them. Coldstone is built for RPGs, not click and point adventures. **
misconception, the point and click was the original functionality of Coldstone, it then gained motion, and eventually animation, maps etc. The point and click is a remnant of its past, when the feature was originally implemented, it wiped the floor with its competitors; worldbuilder32, gamemaker ...as they confined you to a certain area picture/text, click zones had limitations, buttons had to be on screen/ '6 shooter style', and the other rpg stat systems made making complex games easy...it took the graphical adventure to the next level.

How would the moderators know about this if they are not suppose to have any affiliation with Ambrosia?
We are obviously supposed to have an affiliation with Ambrosia, we're Ambrosia Software, Inc. web board moderators, after all.
What we are not is Ambrosia Software, Inc. employees. Anything we say that does not relate to an Ambrosia Software, Inc. web board cannot be considered an official Ambrosia Software, Inc. statement, though you can take it as read that Rubber Ducky, Debra, Stark and Andiyar have a lot of official information to dispense. As moderators (a trusted position) we get passed confidential information here and there. It's obviously not huge trade secrets that we get, but we often get a heads up on game releases, for instance.
When Dominic was introduced to the moderators, we were told several things he would be working on, one of which was the Coldstone Update. As this information was given to us in the War Room, it is considered confidential and is not passed around.
I'm not being snotty here, but that's about all I can tell you.

...or else he will have to kill you....We all know how that goes.... There has to be a 'Moderator Secret handshake' to begin the meetings, no? I bet you they are all superheros, and Ambrosia is their secret base. It all makes sense now.....RD-DEL was no joke,,,,, chuckles .....Would pay good money to see the mode of transportation there.....

Or in your case the Duckmobile.... Sounds like something Darkwing Duck or Howard the Duck would use, but due to the name they wouldn't touch...... There's got to be a Mod Heros Theme...... No upstanding secret band of Superheros would be caught dead without one. Or at least a jingle...
