I have been looking around, and I haven't found any games created with Coldstone. Are there any, and if there is, could I get some links?
Thanks in advance.

Oh my Yes! I don't have them at this moment but there are a few. Most just finished a contest (for fun ya know) and have links available. Look back through the posts to see them if you want to. I'm sure others will gladly give you links to their software. They are also plug-ins that are available to add to POG if you're interested.

There's a few short games. You can get Ghosts of Time, TQFTMC, and Mechanical Soldiers Division from Coldstone's AddOn page.
There's a couple of us who are working on full-length games. Graham and I are making separate games, and I'm sure there are others out there who are. I've been working on my game now for a year and a half. And still enthusiastic about it. It simply takes time.

For a list of all the games that took part in the showcase go to the showcase website (http://showcase.ellrx.com). It should have links for all game downloads.

Well and, in fact, there are no CS games available cause there is no working Cs available... I'm sure there are tons of games in progress... I'm also working on mine... And, yes, it's a lot of job anyway...

That is not true. Coldstone is working for some of us. More than one game was completed before this last showcase contest. One that comes to mind is "Kit's ABC Adventure."
If the question is, "Are there other professional quality games besides "Pillars of Garendall" then I would have to say, not as yet. There are, as mentioned, some in progress. Also mentioned are several PoG plugins which extend the game with additions to storyline, characters, and territory. All of these are working examples of Coldstone.

There was also a space game as well as another adventure game available on some hotline server somewhere. It is a lot of work, especially to produce something that can be considered complete in the sense of well thought out and polished. The problem with CGE isn't necessarily the engine, but the authors. A complete game takes a tremendous amount of talent and effort, too many realize this after making big plans, then just stop. (kinda like we did, but we'll be back)

Problem is, life gets in the way. There just isn't enough time in a day. School gives me about 4 hours of freetime. And I'd rather do something relaxing than making a game and working with Coldstone (like napping for instance). Yeah, time sucks.

Well.....just as long as you come back, dampeoples.... Seriously, if you want good games, the wait is worth it. There is so much pre-production planning involved before the actual designing of the game that at times it is sometimes downright silly. Don't worry, I have some good stuff coming, but its only a matter of time.....and life energy..... Good luck everyone.

I agree... I'm sure there's plenty of goood stuff in development at the moment... The thing is that it's really a lot of job to make a game just by yourself... You'll have to make 3D design and animation, 2D design and animation, graphic creation, script, dialogues, programing, adding sounds... etc... You'll have to put everything together in the same style with a typical athmosphere... Well, a real good game!... And it is also difficult to create or to join a team, as many of the Cs game creators are working on very personal ideas... I'm also working on my game... I'm still in backgrounds design and animations, items, graphic design and I'm starting NPC creation... So, you can see that I'm confident with Beenox and the next CS version, or else I would not spend so much time on Cs now... And, oh yes... sorry for what I said, I have to correct : CS is actually working on OS9, yes, yes! And please : no remarks on spelling. We're all from different country and are using English as a basis for communication... As far as we understand eachother, it's ok for me...
I can't say that life gets in the way. After I get home from work, I spend some time on my game. Sometimes it's downright tedious. Sometimes I ask myself why on earth I'm doing this. But I find that I need to do it. Now that I know I can, I need to. I feel as if I'm on the right path for myself. I doubt that I'll make a lot of money on it, but that's not why I'm doing it. I'm responding to life itself. To my relationship with life as I experience it daily.
A good concept Debra, very positive...
It all depends on what mood you are in. I, at the moment, am not in the mood for doing any work on my games. This is because I have just done a lot of school work and want a rest. Though I also have a lot of other stuff to do. I am trying to learn PHP and then I need to learn Cinema 4D so I can make decent characters for my game.
I say that if you feel like you want to work then seize the moment and work as hard as you can. If you start to feel like giving up then persevere. If you get distracted and can't get back to work then give yourself some time and do something different. Remember you have got to enjoy making the game if you want it to be good

I've never really left If the original team doesn't end up making it all the way, I've gone too far to just drop it, and I know just the person (well, two) that can help.
As far as I know, PoG is the only commerical/shareware Coldstone game out right now. Legends is coming this summer and I think Debra's game should be out soon, but there are plenty of freeware games to play. You could look over on the CRC forum (link is in sig), where most of the small freeware games are being worked on.

Who says they are small
Thanks for the help everybody. But I still haven't seen any links. I found some on my own, though. Interesting, but I really thought that there'd be more. Well, well, maybe some more will be made when the new version comes out. I sure hope that is soon.
2004 is already being dubbed THE year for CS. We have had the Showcase which has already brought a lot of new games to light. There is also the fact that many of the BIG games that have been being made with CS for that past months/years are all due out in one shape or form this year (basically Legends this summer hopefully, a beta of Debras game SW some time in October and I hope to have a demo of my new game Space out before christmas). The update will fix a lot of bugs with CS and hopefully may allow us to get a few small feature requests in (well, theoretically small to add, but with massive gains in possibilities)
If you want "different" game made with ColdStone, check out Connect 4 LiteΒ. You can find it here: (url="http://"http://www.world-of-cha0s.hostrocket.com")http://www.world-of-....hostrocket.com(/url)
Also, check out the CRC (Coldstone Resource Center) forums (link in Pilky's sig). I've heard they have all kinds of information over there, including how close to finishing some games are!

Expect some hot PoG plugins too. I belive RD said that the sequal to Damsels should be done by the end of the year, and I have a few projects of my own. Yes, the is indeed THE YEAR for Coldstone. Plus we have the update (1.1 it should be) coming.
