You cannot move an NPC, once its placed it is outside of your control. since you want the close up of the npc attacking
you create the animation using your larger sprites, make sure the first frame has a lock camera action...and that the last frame unlocks the camera.
now when the npc attacks, either using; a launch event flag or launch sprite flag.
this will fire the close up animation of the attack taking place, then when its concluded it will pan the camera back into the normal non closeup.
additionally if you wanted an image of the player taking damage to appear at the same time as the attack(which i assume you do)
place another launch sprite action(for the player) before the closeup NPCs launch sprite flag. YOu may have to do some tinckering to get them into sync.
so in this case teh stamp control isnt' necessarily needed.
to use the additional animation indeces, you cna use a switch animation flag in teh animation editor, or a switch to random animation.
but for what i've described above i'd personally give each enemy type its own weapons.
ie a vampire would suck your blood...so give it a weapon called 'blood suck' this would launch the proper closeUp animation of the npcs sucking blood.

... ** Big O..ACTION!**
Back to the problem with the red animation, I changed the animation of the main hero to test out the launch sprite, the animation was red. Does it have anything to do with mine's an unregistered version?

The unregestered version of Coldstone shold work fine with animations (I used it for a long time unregestered). I have accually never heard of a probem like this before. I would 1 delete the preferences to your game and Coldstone. If that didn't work then reinstall Coldstone.

Why would he delete the prefs if one animation was off-colored? What type of graphic file are you using? How did you change the previous animation, was it red before you changed it?

I've seen that stated many times on this forum and I don't ever recall anyone ever saying, "Yup, that was It, my preferences were screwed up."
I think it is much more likely that something is not right with the formatting of the graphics themselves. I do know that when I had pictures set at 8 bit color, the rendition on the screen was all screwy. When I changed the graphics to 16 bit (32768 colors) they all showed up as they should. And while we're on the subject, the graphics MUST be 72 pixels per inch.
ZeldaMaster, an offer was made to take a look at your problem but as far as I know, you did not have the actual graphics available. That's kinda like calling up your auto mechanic and saying, "The car makes a kerklunk sound when I drive it. What do you think I should do?" You know he's going to want to see the car to test it.

The red is a graphics problem, not a Coldstone problem.
