Whenever I try and make a map preview in either the map editor or the location of the map CS crashes. It comes up with the progress bar which then suddenly vanishes with no progress being made. CS then quits because of an unknown error. I have tried restarting but it didn't work. I'm on OSX if that helps at all.
P.S. Sorry to be asking all these questions recently. It is just everything seems to be going wrong since I started using CS all the time for my new game.

Yea, that's supposed to happen...
Well, it isn't, but it's a known OS X bug. Just open CS in the classic environment and it'll work fine.

Hey, no need to apologize for asking questions! I wish I knew all of the answers. But, anyway, glad you're around.

Actually, you have to start up in classic mode or it won't work. Just to add a note....

what is the difference between Classic Mode and the Classic Environment? I opened the classic version of CS in OSX (via classic) and it worked just fine.
Classic "mode" is "slang" for the Classic Environment. Booting into the Classic OS requires changing your startup disk. NOTE: The Classic Environment will not be supported in OS 10.4 (I believe, and I'm not sure if it's supported in Panther...)

Yes, it is supported in 10.3. (You can switch to OS9 while having 10 in background or you can startup in OS9.) I found that with 10.1.5, I couldn't make preview maps in "OS9 enviornment" without a crash. I had to startup in "OS9 only" to make the previews. I haven't tried the 10.3 yet.
