I would like to know if it is illegal to take the pictures avaliable for a plugin and use them for a game? Because the ones avaliable for plugins are different then the ones avaliable for games.

What????!?!? What do you mean

This is what I mean: when you build a plugin you have lots of monsters to choose from ex: archmage rogue etc. and items too, stone shield lilth sheild etc. but with medeival game making mode you get a sword and some molespiders wyrms princess and a few plain people and I think we should be able to use the plugin pictures for games too so i'm just wondering am I allowed to use the plugin pictures for games?
P.S. And NO THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT it's just a simple question.
If you buy coldstone, there are lots of graphics included on the CD Most of the graphics in PoG I think...
oh darn.
If you are creating a plugin for PoG, then you can use any graphic in the game.
------------------ Boo! Did I scare you? No? BOO! How about now? Good!
That's exactly what I mean but I want to make a game.
Then you will have to buy coldstone Or do as I do, take the things I have and use them

You can do that for a game can't you? Ambrosia didn't get on Graham's case for using Coldstone graphics in Legends.

The set of "Coldstone" graphics is slightly different from the set of "PoG" graphics - for instance, you could certainly use the "Sea Giant" graphics in a PoG plug-in, but since they're not included with Coldstone, you would not be permitted to use them in your own game.

Glenn is right. But, if you aren't planning on selling your game for money, would it be considered legal or is that still taboo?

I think that would still be illegal, yes. It would be the same thing as saying that if you take the models out of warcraft 3 and use them in your own game without permission, it would be illegal even if its freeware ;). So if you want to use some PoG graphic not included on the coldstone CD you would need permission :).
By the way, how about trinity graphics? There is nothing about using them in your own games within the "license" thingy.
By the way does anyone know whether or not it is illeagle to use graphics that are not in coldstone but they are not used in pog either?

I don't think so, but don't quote me on it. illegal=illeagle?

It depends on what the copyright is on the graphics that you are interested in using. If they have a license then you are obligated to follow it.

Note: Out of all of earths species, Rubber Ducks aren't one of the endangered ones. There's millions of them. Also, the Trinity Plugin does come with a note saying that you can't use the graphics, sound, whatever.

Wait.. you must be joking... are you saying that you can't use the different class graphics, etc. in your games? That can't be, Legends uses them and Ambrosia didn't say anything about that when they reviewed his game... besides, why would they release it without letting you use it?

That seems to be what the license states.
That can't be, Legends uses them and Ambrosia didn't say anything about that when they reviewed his game...
If ASW reviewed it and approved it, then he has their permission to use their graphics. They have the right to allow whomever they wish the right to use their property. If you wish to use their property then you need to request permission from them to be able to do so. Simply because someone else has been given permission does not automatically allow you the right to use that property too.
besides, why would they release it without letting you use it?
Trinity was released to provide added excitement to PoG in order to increase sales for PoG, as well as to show off the plug-in creation features of Coldstone to encourage PoGites to purchase Coldstone.
