I've created a new game recently and for some reason it won't start. All I have is the start up screen and some music created so far but it won't even go to the startup screen. I created the startup screen in the map editor and then exported it as a PICT file. Then I opened it in Appleworks and added a title and buttons such start game, load game, and quit game, but when I added the correct events and locations to use all the buttons and to get to the startup screen it would'nt launch. It would play music but no startup screen came up or sometimes it crashed. If anyone could help please repond.

I had the same problem when I started. If you have started from scratch (which is what I'm guessing) you need to put a picture (any will do for now) into the loading dialog which can be found in the options for your game. You also need an event with a teleport in which goes to your title screen location. You MUST save this event as startgame

My suggestion to any problems, try checking the manual first. You can search it using Adobe PDF reader if that speeds up your search.

I suggest that you create a new game and make it the medieval game. Then substitute their startup picture for yours. Also, I think that reading the tutorial and looking closely at the medieval game helps a person just beginning. Good luck.
