Just recently my game is laging greatly all the time and load times are VERY slow. Why is this happening?

the straw that broke the camel's back.. maybe you've added some large or complex objects to your map, or populated it with any number of things.. may i ask does it slow down immediately, or is there a point at which it begins to slow; characters, background, stamps,
Perhaps the memory is too low for the new additions to game environment, even still you might have to segment the world into more managable chunks for the engine to process.

It starts to slow even before I press new game butten. The main slowdown is the first loading screen, at first i thought it froze because of how slow it was. I find this strange since I haven't altered any of my startgame events or startup screen in months. It couldn't be something I added ingame since the slowdown starts even before i start a new game.
I have added memory to the game, but it has no effect.
What OS are you using? Is it maybe something like rebuilding your desktop file? Or has it become so fragmented that it needs to be optimized?

cmmd+option+p+r till computer restarts and chimes x3
then
restart, again
hold cmmd+option until desktop appears.
do you want to rebuild desktop?
yes.
or get free version of techtool and do same thing.
(techtool does a better job of zapping pram as it deletes it, not rebuilds it)

I ment start the game not the computer. My computer has no problems starting. I ran diskwarrier and my game seems to be running fine.
zapping pram and rebuilding desktop helps debug apps sometime. pending the problem apps or files could damage your parameters or your system files. when a app gets out of hand for me i usually do those two things and it takes care of them. either way sounds like wsince you ran disk warrior and now everythings cool you might want to run it regularly or get a copy of norton.
