Grant Money (semi coldstone Related)

With My business that I am currently setting up I am going to need some serious funding. Unfortunately I am a minor and can't get a job even at McDonalds. I have searched everywhere and I can't find any place to request the amounts that I need without having to buy something (Even if it is only $29.95!) Anybody know of anywhere that I can get any kind of funding to set myself in position for a company in the future?

No offense, but if McDonalds won't even hire you, why would anyone invest anything in you? Suppose he told you to come on down to the office.....50 miles away. Whaddya gonna do then?

There are legal issues as well. As a minor you can not have investors as they can not be in legal partnership with you. You are unable to enter into any contract, thus no one would be legally able to make a return on their investment.

At your age you can't really do anything without your parents/guardians acting in your stead. You need to have them involved as they can sign contracts, etc. Investors will also be able to interact with them and invest through them into your projects if they deem it worthwhile.

Your best bet will be having your parents take you down to a bank and get a loan for you with your name on the loan(you won't be legally responsible for it, but you will be able to establish credit).

It's not the fact that I'm not credible for a position at McDonalds, it just i'm 13 and cannot be legally put in a working environment. Anyways...

Thanks for the help. I think that I'll end up just working with what I have and hoping for the best. Of course, donations would work...

Paper route? Mowing lawns? There's tons of things younger kids do to make money. You don't have to get a retail job or anything like that. If you really need the money, you can get a job, you just have to find the right place.

Yeah, but it's not as easy as it seems, GrandpaMurder. I would wait on making my own game if I were you BlackLite, and work under another company if you could. Do you know anyone around you that's working on a game (it doesn't really have to be using Coldstone) and sort of apprentice under them, that way, if you have a good idea, you won't screw it up by making that your first experiment with Coldstone.
