I thought this would be cool but, I keep running into problems.....
First my game I made a little bit of wouldn't even get past character making, then I stopped using it for months
Now I am trying again and I follow the instructions in the docs and I can't write a character on the map. WHY??1`//!!?
I select the characters option button, select one from the list in the other window, press pencil, press on the map AND NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!
The ?Characters? mode lets you add characters directly in the map editor and set their initial facing direction. To add a character on the map, first select the characters mode and then select the character you want to add from the list appearing in the tile set viewer7. Just click on the tile where you want to add your character. You can hold the mouse button down and move your cursor around the character to set its facing direction8.
IF ONLY THAT WORKED!!!!! What is my problem here? I like 50 dollars, I don't like throwing it away.

-_- sorry i suffer from a mental disorder,
I do not understand what mistake I am making, because I select the characters option button, select a character in the list in the other window, and press the pencil and press on the map. I do not know what I am missing in the process, and request assistence.

Oh..and this app doesn't suck. I see a lot of people complaining about it. When you have a game/plug-in that cannot be released because of a bug, complain then.
My tile window doesn't have all those folders for the NPC's in the menu, there is only the game root. wHy?!`;
I'm not at that computer now, but you probably need to put your NPC folders in the pictures or the NPC folder

The NPC folders, the ones with all the directional pictures and the animation file go in the pictures folder and from there you make your NPC with its name which will show up in the NPC list. I hope that was clear. The NPC bunch of pictures do not go in the NPC folder, just the file that comes from selecting "new NPC" and this will have the stats, player contact info, and one selection of which animation to use.

Have you been everywhere?

they are in the pictures folder....
i started the whole thing over, and dragged only one folder from the art lib, and i think i am placing characters there, though i don't know if they are connected to a file giving them statistics, and the one i dragged doesn't show up, and i don't know how to refresh the list
Try them in the NPC folder.
It's rather confusing when you see a folder that says NPC_Scum (let's say). But if the NPC_Scum folder has an animation plus a lot of pictures, that's not really an NPC. It's simply the animation plus pictures file. Leave the NPC_Scum folder in the Pictures folder, and don't do anything with it. You need to click on the face on the main icon array at the top (where you find the map icon) to make a new NPC. Under one of the tabs of the NPC window, (battle?) (I don't have Coldstone on this computer, sorry), it will ask you to choose an NPC picture. It'll let you go into your Pictures folder where you'll find the animation in the NPC_Scum folder. (It's got an arrow by it.) Choose the animation. Save as Scum and Coldstone will place it into the NPC folder, not the Pictures folder. Leave it there. Then on the map, do your thing. Hope this helps.
