Slowing down the game

The player's default movement speed is so fast... is there a way to slow it down? I don't like how the player could blast through all of my carefully created scenery......

usually for an initial setting:
in the ' main ' event place an
' attribute wizard ' action that ' sets ' the ' speed ' to whatever, the manual briefly compaes a few speeds, the medieval demo 'hero' runs at 8.

you can do this at any given time, with an attribute wizard action through out the game.

i'm suddenly uncertain if the attribute wizard accepts tag values for values,
if so you can use an animation loop to speed/slow the player at will.

You mean I created 20 frame walking animations combined with a 16* 12 walking grid to slow my character down for nothing?
