I am making a game where the player is the dragon( i posted my idea on this board) and i was wondering if i would make him breath fire as his attack...im sure it woud just be like a spell or sumthing..but how do i attach an animation..and how do i use spells? can i assign a key to use spells? Thanks in advance.

Hello, You can do 1 of 2 things, 1. you could just add the firey look to the attack animation wiitch should be in your pictures folder under whtever folder the dragon animation is found under. 2. You could also create a item that has a ranged attack and use the attack animation for the fire attack. You can alter the ranged attack range and animation in the submenu 'display'.

Spend a few hours in Photoshop and you will have a masterpiece fire that will be something to look at. Yes, it will take a bit of time, but it will look VERY good.

Something real simple, use the spray can against a white background in AppleWorks spray multiple shades of; reds, oranges and yellows , make sure there is visible white space between the pixels, the white space will be knocked out, crop/resize the image eliminating as much exterior blank space as possible, save as a .pict, tada. create a sequential series of these images.
another option is to create particles and get CGE to reproduce each 'fireball' multiple times (see/study the medieval demo, specifically the smoke animation that rises out of the chimney of the hut)
