by a good program to make side scrollers you talkin engine wise or art program wise? if your talkin engine wise i want to know too! actually there was a guy on the mac that released a side scrolling engine but i decided not to use it because it is a heavy engine with heavy graphics that requires osx and a g4/800. aint gona happen. other than that i found a forward scrolling engine but it could not be used for commercial use.

the forward scrolling game was called "raptor". you can find it at idevgames, it was a entry in one of the contests thier, and you can download the source code as "Raptor-ASF Source code"
the game looked like crap but it played decently and man if it was available for commercial use instead of freeware......
ah and i finally found the side scrolling game engine link (url="http://"http://sawbladesoftware.com/")http://sawbladesoftware.com/(/url)
man if it would have a needed a g4/400 i think i would have been on this game so fast.....
