Potions & spell conflicts

I posted something on how to make a potion close inventory and pop up the regular numbers for health. That works great, but if I have a launch Item event that dumps this on the map and the character picks it up, it leaves the first frame of the animation the spell has and it is not added to the inventory of the user. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Do you have the "Take" checkbox checked in the Display tab of the item editor?
