Is Coldstone for me? :p

Hi, I hear you can create any type of game with coldstone and i've downloaded it and it seems a little confusing to me.

What I get from it is that I can really only create a one player action RPG (like the medieval game is)

For those of you who might have played the Lunar Series ( Lunar Silver Star Story and lunar Eternal Blue) I want to make a game like that. I want to be able to design my own towns, my own world but in not such a fancy grahpics.
I understand to do this i'll need to Create my own images, etc. But I want a battle system where you have more than one character on your team and you engage random battles like on most Regular RPGs (final Fantasy, etc.)

is it possible for me to do even that? I don't know how I would be able to make more than one character under your control, create random battles etc.

(so i want a simple game, i've got a great storyline for it)
If anyone could help me, that'd be great! I would like to know if Coldstone would be a good program to create such a game with.

Yes, this is what the main focus of the Coldstone engine is. However, the scripting system is fairly powerful, and so you may be less limited than you think.

Try using the "Search" link in the upper right hand corner of this page. Believe it or not, quite a few other people have wanted to do just this with Coldstone, and there's been a fair bit of discussion about it on these boards. I have yet to see a fully implemented, functional system come out of these discussions, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. 🙂

I don't know what I'm talking about.
Oh no, here comes another learning experience.
