There is an old discussion on this topic, but nothing definitive. I'd like to know what the Coldstone CD includes... a full list/catalog if possible. It'd be even neater if Ambrosia could put up 1/4 size spec sheets on a page somewhere so a prospective buyer could have a full idea of the kind of "help" they'll be getting for creating their game if they are artistically impaired.
Specific questions I have: Other than the crypt set (for which there is a screenshot available in the POG section) what interior sets are included? Other than the extensive "forest", what terrain tile sets are included? Other than "Medieval", what themes are included and how much artwork for each? How many music mp3s? How much in the way of sounds? Animations? How many NPC animations are included? I'd really love to see a complete list of every file so I can sense the volume and capabilities of the included artwork.

Aye, and all that easily worthy of a karma point. Nice one toaster.

I would like to know what other themes there are, too. That (Extremly helpfull ) list Toaster posted had mostly Midaeval stuff. I would like to make a game based in something like the 1700s, and midaeval stuff wouldn't really fit. Can you make 18 century games, or do I have to make my own graphics? (I wanted to ask this question before I registered, for some reason) Thanks.

PS, I thought I registered... guess not it doesn't work for this board.

Registration applies to the whole system, not to specific boards. Are you sure you entered your name and password correctly?

Well, if you look Mantaray posted right before Mantaray5 with almost the exact same text... Mantaray, enter your username correctly, and it should work.

I hit the post button but wasn't finished with my text, so I hit the stop. Then I altered the text and hit post but it said Mantaray was reserved, so I had to change it.

I listed everything on the disk. You are correct there is no Graphic's from the industrial or post-industrial age. Pre-Renaissance and Futuristic is all thats included. so I would guess you are on your own.

Rats. Oh well, I was thinking I was gonna be doing that anyway. Thanks!

Oh, I know what your problem is. When you hit 'submit', it's too late, everything has all ready been posted and your password was cleared. That explains the first post. Then, you did not see that the password field was blank, and hit submit. Since you had no password, it rejected your post. You changed the username and posted unregistered.
In the future, fill out both the username and password fields.
Straytoaster, you ROCK! Excellent excellent excellent... that answered ALL of my questions except one: "Other than the crypt set (for which there is a screenshot available in the POG section) what interior sets are included?"
Or, rather, that DOES answer all of the questions, but I'm not quite sure what the answer for that questions REALLY is. According to the list you compiled, there ARE NO INTERIOR MEDIEVAL files... but I don't believe that for a second!
I want to walk around inside my own castle, and of course GO INTO all those classy huts and not have it look the same EVERY time.
;|Are there tiles for inside stuff, or is our hero condemned forever to roam the wilderness? Help me out!

About how long does it normaly take to get the CD in the mail?

Thanks. But I looked throught the pct files and dont see any interior wall except the crypt so i think your hero better have a coat.

Well YUCk. Thanks for looking. I'm really surprised by this-- I know its hard to pull off a good indoor tileset... and once you have one, it is difficult to use effectively-- but in my view a beatifully rendered house graphic is pointless unless I can go INSIDE it.
I just downloaded the POG demo... no buildings I can go inside... though they tease you with the "learning tree", which I've been told are a static image, not a tile set, and they may not even be included in the Coldstone graphics set.
SIGH I'm just not good enough to render my own rooms!
Anyone notice the overall lack of Character art on the CD? There was only one hero. A little misleading when Pillars had a lot of hero art.
