I would really like to be able to change my interface windows in order to do things like update control panels. I was going to do a workaround using the Portrait file holder but I can't get it to display in the map window. I got the box onto the edit screen - it is plenty big and the Portrait graphic I'm using displays just fine in the Statistics window but no luck. Help!
I also don't see any way to change what fields are displayed in each inferface - it seems to be a fixed (and rather arbirar) list. What if I want a new button or something? (Or the aforementioned graphics holders) Help!
Thanks

Have you tried using stamps?

I think that would work on the main screen but on the map screen they appear as map elements, so they slide as soon as the player moves. What I need an image that I can update that has a fixed location.

Yes, the fields in each interface are fixed and unchangeable - you can "remove" them by moving them out of the window, but there's no way to add in new ones.
You should be able to fake a change of the Map, Main, and Statistics windows by changing the player portrait, but none of the other interfaces have a portrait, unfortunately. You could try and fake some of the other ones by using Main locations instead of the predefined interfaces, but it'd probably be more trouble than it would be worth.
Back to your first question: Are you saying that the portrait does not display in-game in the Map interface? That's a bit odd - I believe I tested that in the late betas and it worked then. Can you get it to work in the Main or Statistics interfaces?

Ugh. Thanks - good to know.

I got that working - it was offscreen. Now I'm having trouble finding a way to do more than a single pass/fail to update it with a Conditional. I want to be able to have something choose between 10 status portraits but nothing does the trick and its driving me nuts. If there were actual programming tools in here I would make a graphic status bar but I' m stuck with what they have - which seems to be more like a mod toolkit than an actual game creation engine. I'm a Flash designer/programmer so the limited access to core mechanics and logical operators is driving me up a wall.
HELP!!!! (please? someone?)
