Pillars of Garendall 1.0.1 has just been released, along with a companion plugin called "Trinity" that greatly extends the game. The Pillars of Garendall 1.0.1 update and the Trinity plugin are both free to registered users, and can be downloaded from the Pillars of Garendall web site:

The Pillars of Garendall 1.0.1 update provides speed improvements, bug fixes, and other enhancements. The Trinity plugin adds three new specialties to choose from: swordsman, ranger, and conjurer. Each specialty starts with different base statistics and equipment. In addition to this extended character development and new original items, the player of each class has a special new location of his own to discover in the Kingdom of Garendall. The ranger and conjurer also have a new appearance.

I'd like to note that Trinity shows you how much games created with Coldstone, such as Pillars of Garendall, can be extended using Coldstone and the plugin system. You don't have to start your first project as an entire game, you can build on the work of others, too. It is quite easy to do.

Coldstone Is Coming!
Yes, at this point "later this year" is synonymous with "this month."
However, we may be reading too far into it-- "later this year" could have been a convenient way to render "sometime in the future" without seeming too vague. If the press release was prepared a month or two back it wouldn't have nailed down the Coldstone relase as much as it seems to have.
Oh well. We'll find out when we find out.
