I am planning to post my long precursor story in the chronicles but I don't know if it will be accepted as it is really, really long.

Well, I posted a 2,500 word story and I think Tarnaelion Andiyarus posted one that was 3,000 long, so I don't think you will have any trouble.

About that I didn't want to push it too much, that's why the story is being released in segments. Landing a 18,000 word story in one piece is a bit much, I think.

Pad, as Necro says the only limits would be the attention span of GlueBubble while he edits/approves it, and that of the audience when they read it. I'd say long stories would be accepted, but you really wouldn't want to go over 5,000 words as a maximum because by then, most people's attention would start to wander.
If it's longer than that, you might want to do what I'm doing and slice it into reasonable sized chunks of 2,000 - 3,000 words each. Of course, this could really ruin your story, as mine is actually divided into 'chapters' as it were, and further divided by 'focal character.'
Anyway, whatever you post, however long, at least you'll know that I'll read it. I'm really enjoying the Chronicles forum, and so you have an audience of at least one!

Aye, to echo everyone, long Chronicles are great, but you want to watch out that they aren't too long. So, I recommend splitting it up if it seems excessively long. I look forward to your next installment, Pad.

I, too, enjoy reading the Chronicles! I took a stab and submitting one and if it does well, I'd be happy to post more of it. If not, I'm just as happy reading the wonderful work of all the talented people on here!

Kagi is actually registered, but when I use it, I cannot post to any forum. I get the error that an administrator hasn't approved me yet. I've asked the board sysop many times to fix it via email, but it hasn't been done - so, I just rock along as a temp. Heck, -Mouse existed this way for months.
