This may not come out exactly how I mean, but here goes.
Is it possible to have destructible, regrowing terrain? And terrain affecting movement speed? Like, for instance, the player wanders into a field of higher grass terrain than that slows him/her down. The player then has the option of pulling out either a sword or a specialised tool (like a lawnmower!) and cutting down the grass, thus increasing the rate of movement that they travel along their path. And then, if this is possible, is it possible to make the grass regrow to obstruct movement again, necessitating being cut down again, etc. I'd assume the actual animation of regrowth could be done, but I'd like to know whether whilst walking over this 'regrowing' grass your movement rate would be altered.
Anyone?

I think you could do the affecting of speed, but I'm not sure about the rest.
