...exactly why do we have to put our names in alphabetical order?
Tradition, now, and I do it because I like order (though there's certainly nothing wrong with randomness).
That makes sense, I guess. Makes it easier to look up who's playing, since you don't have to search through the whole list, just the section that starts with the correct letter.
