Volcano Star and Super Wave - spoiler

I've collected everything except of the star and the super wave in the Volanco level. I can't seem to get either barrier to drop so I can get them Any tips?

Look around in the zone with lava particles.

Thanks... I realized I was using the wrong color. And now to figure out how to get the super wave. That indestructible gun is a pain.

I would think that it's indestructible for a very good reason, one that's actually beneficial to you.
