I had written this story a long time ago but now its time for a retune. ----------------
In the bar of Viking, Captain Pierce Castone of the Starbridge Treason was sitting enjoying a drink waiting for his first mate. A member of the rebellion, he had to keep an eye out for any Federation guards passing through. He took a sip and two solemn, bearded men sat down near to him. Pierce surveyed them, feeling a little suspicious about their arrival. He didnt have much time to dwell on it though, as his first mate arrived.
Mason, where have you been? asked Pierce.
I had to drop off some supplies I picked up at the market, easy credits right there buddy. said Mason with a laugh
So heres the deal, Pierce said in an under tone. Frandall wants us to go down into Auroran space to contact the Dani and the Heraan, they are supposed to be pretty trustworthy ive heard. We need to get them to make an attack on the Gateway and Alphara system to draw a lot of the Fed forces away from Nesre Primus and the systems around it. Then we send in a big task force to capture those systems to give us some bargaining options with Bureau.
Sounds good, Mason said. Cling Mason and Pierce turned around to see the two bearded men down their drinks and head out. They seem kind of suspicious, the look like their about to shoot themselves in the face. he said with a laugh.
Welp, not our problem, said Pierce. Lets head out, Frandall is counting on us.
The two bearded men boarded their Pirate Thunderhead and cloaked after they left orbit. The ship headed for the sun and masked their ship as close as they could to it without being incinerated. The first man punched in some calculations to change the intensity of the Thunder Lance. While the second man aimed it towards the center of the star.
Meanwhile, Pierce and Mason had left the atmosphere of the planet and were heading to hyperspace distance.
Coordinates locked in, destination Dani. Mason reported.
Good, prepare to start our jour-
A flash of blinding light occurred and everything went darker. then suddenly the star collapsed and a wave of fire spread out in all directions. Not many ships realized what was going on or to escape.
Oh...my...god! Shouted Pierce. GET US OUT OF HERE MASON!!
He punched it into hyperspace as the wave of fire went past where their ship had just been.
A Star Liner was creeping towards the hypergate and entered just as the wave obliterated it. A Fed Destroyer was incinerated as it just left the surface of the planet. A convoy of Cargo drones were set a blaze and destroyed. Space Dock II rocked with the explosion and started to degrade and rip apart. Huge sections of the station began to incinerate and the people on board were sucked out through the breaches and died in the vacuum. The station collapsed and exploded. Down on the surface, people tried to escape, but failed. Some people tried to hide in the underground bunkers they built incase of an Auroran attack. The wave ripped off the crust to a depth of five miles. many Pirates who had special bunkers and fortresses for refuge in an attack were annihilated in the wave. No building was left standing, and no person was left living. 20 million people died in the aftermath.
One day after the explosion, rescue crews found nothing left on the permanently dark surface of the planet. Charred bodies and burnt buildings were all that were left. The remains of a Federation destroyer held little help in identifying what happened. The only other wreck that was found in some decent shape, was a Pirate Thunderhead....
oooo me got first post i feel all special
Pretty good story, Im intriuged about why the pirate thunderhead blew up the sun Is there a part 2?
Other than a few very minor spelling mistakes it was excellent
Thanks, Split
------------------ Heads up boys and girls my story "No Choice"(had to give it a new name) is on its way to almost being submitted

Uh, okay...
The sentence structure could use some more complexity, there really needs to be more detail, and there needs to be more character descriptions.
The fact that an entire system was destroyed in one of the Nova storylines without my knowledge kind of bothered me...
------------------ Man have pity on man
How did only 20 million people die? Wasn't the planet incinerated? Also, a T-head Lance would have to be ridiculously long to be able to blow up a sun, without the T-Head being incinerated.
Other than that, quite good, and interesting, for what it was.
------------------ You know, I was going to let you become part of my most erotic fantasies, but you can just forget it, write it off! I keep thinking there has to be something better out there, because if there wasn't, I'd just curl up in a larval position and weep.

How long does it take to activate your hyperdrive engines?
------------------ Ie amh thuh ilitterit rietur. Kimi wa baka desu.
Doesn't take long to pop into hyperspace, iirc. Couple a seconds. Of course, with a Starliner's shield rating, I wouldn't give you much of a chance. That combined with a reaction time (stunned disbelief and the like) and you could very easily be toast.
All this of course depending on who the hell would take on a suicide mission like blowing up a sun.

I asked that because it would take minutes for the blast to get near the planet. And, considering that the plasma doesn't travel faster than light, I'd say it'd take around 10-30 minutes for the actual shockwave to hit anything. The planet would fry, of course, but anyone in a ship that's already leaving should make it out just fine.
Sometimes I don't know why i bother to write.
Anyone else who wants to continue it can go right ahead.
