Chapter 2- Unknown Weapons
As Blake drove his souped up fighter back towards Earth, he picked up some unusual scans coming from his ship's hull. "How very strange...." Blake said to himself. "There's nothing on my hull. How could there be? Wait a minute!"
BOOOOOM
Blake's hull exploded. His fighter went spiraling. "Computer, engage stabilizers!" Blade shouted.
"Stabilizers engaged" replied the computer.
Blake's ship stopped spiraling, but it was still rocking violently. Blake was cut and bleeding as he tried to save his fiery ship. Just before the hull exploded, he received the scans of the chemical. It was an Interstellar Chemical Weapon of some sort, and the chemical laid dormant for any amount of time, then ripped the area of the ship it's attached to shreds. Blake's cabin was overheating. The ship was about to be destroyed. Blake saw Luna over the horizon. "I can make it" he thought. Blake eased his ship closer and closer to the station.
A UE Destroyer patrolling for the traitor John Cook around Luna saw the flaming ship coming towards Luna. "Another fun day of work in the Sol system" The Captain of the Destroyer said as he walked onto the bridge. "Sir," said the pilot, "incoming hail from that vessel."
"Well, put it through," he exclaimed irritably. The Captain's name was Tyler Fraymen, and ever since he finished the Academy, he longed to see battle. Blake's voice came through along with a boatload of static.
"Maday mayday! (Crackle Crackle) hull burning, about to explode! Need assistance immediately!"
"Prepare to board get him onto the ship and get to Luna. Now!" Tyler yelled.
A few men got to the boarding platform. As it opened, 1 man jumped down to help get Blake out. The men on the deck above the fighter pulled Blake as the man from bellow pushed. The computer sprang to life.
"Overload in 20 seconds"
The men managed to get Blake out with 13 seconds left. They pulled the man in the Fighter out. As Blake was being helped away, he suddenly lurched and fell to the ground. He accidentally hit a man standing near the door to the boarding area. The man toppled into the fighter with 9 seconds to go just as the leader of the group said "Get us out!"
"Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!" The man screamed as the doors closed. The other men made a leap to keep the doors from closing but it was to late. The Destroyer took off. The leader of the little squad opened a comm link right away to Tyler. "Sir, we must re-dock! Kyle's in the fighter!"
Tyler replied, "Forget him. We can't risk 500 people's lives over 1."
"Sir!" Shouted the squad leader.
"That's an order, lieutenant!" Tyler countered. The Destroyer took off for Luna as Kyle sat sobbing in the fighter. The fire started to get thicker around the cabin. All Kyle wanted to do now was get out and plot a revenge on that evil man who called himself "captain". Kyle started to cry as the flames grew more and more intense.
"3...2....1....0...." Kyle opened a comm link to anyone in the system.
"Tyler Frayman is a no good traitor to his people. Be sure that he is punished for the act he commited here today!" Kyle shut the link off as he breathed his last breath and took one final glimpse at Earth.....

How did this guy get a position in the UE military if he can't handle the concept of a "greater good"? I realize he's about to die, but still......don't they have Psych screenings or something?
