I've got a plug in I want a few people to test, before I release it if I can, but I'm not real sure as of how I'm going to make it so people can download it. I've seen a few posts with the file attached, and others with links to the add-ons page. I can't really do either.

What do you mean by 'can't really do either'? Obviously you don't want to upload pre-release material to the addons but if the plug is under 100k you can zip it and then attach to a post from the Add Reply page (can't do it with Fast Reply). Otherwise, check the Important Links topic for free file hosting sites.
I'm not going to upload pre release material, I know how to zip it, but how do I attach it to the post? That's kinda what I was wondering about.
Scroll down. There should be an 'attachments' pane in the post window.
Also, if you need more space, you can try Box. 1 GB limit, and you can pass-protect folders, letting you give tester access to only who you want to give it to.
