I have 2 ideas for plugins, but I don't know enough about coldstone to make them.
a) A plugin that ads races(elf, dwarf, ent).
A "Spells Expander" for rangers that gives them more potions, and maybe a few missions.
------------------ I don't know, I'm sure.
Okay: For a summary, the current ideas are: (list=a) () The Trading Post that unlocks secrets as you gain levels () The Armor-Creator that grafts a set of armor for you over the course of the game () PoG II -- what happens after the first (very hard to do) () Morgo's Termites - enhances the termite farm, makes the termites helpful () Banker plugin where the banker finds potions/rare rings and buys them for you (idea! what if they were librarians instead, and you gave gold to them for searches, and then came back after a while to see if they found any neat potions/rings/stuff) () Any sort of storyline plugin () A Thief Expander plugin () Trinity II-- more character classes including a female () Guild/area for the rangers () Combination items (weapons/shields) () The Dark Druid-- Emelius turns dark () Thieves Revenge -- the thieves take revenge on the player after the death of their leader () A Kingdom in Turmoil- invasion by a neighboring kingdom () Rings/Gasha Seeds () Go into Gidolan Keep () Tournaments () Day/Night and weather changes () The Quest of the Holy Grail () Quest for the magic-point-healing-tent () Quest where you can ride a horse () Blue Mushroom Pub () Goblin settlement () Bodyguard (seems not possible with current tools) (idea! what if it was a summoning of a magical protector via spell or amulet? That could be workable as a spell or maybe if you can combine it with something like Stark's Magic Mirror, you could get something neat-- a way to summon the NPC into action-- it would disappear, you would cast a spell, and the NPC would reappear after a few minutes after you cast the spell-- does this make sense at all?) () Enhance the swordman's bags () Monty python plug () Plugin that adds races (*) Spells Expander for Rangers (/list=a) I think that sums them up. Man-- it's summer, and I haven't even looked at Coldstone. And a 9:30 - 3:30 summer camp starts tomorrow, and then I'll go off to California. Ah well, I think the thread itself is a very useful resourse.

If the online multiplayer thing ever gets working, an arena would be cool. Heres a plot idea: the player gets kidnapped to fight in an arena for his/her life. And I still think there should be a female player-character.

There's an online mutliplayer thing? Wow. And you should look at letter 'H'.

There isnt a multiplayer thing. But the point is, it's an idea that should be.

When you say 'the multiplayer thing' I assumed there is already one. Now, if it was 'a multiplayer thing', that would be different.
I don't think PoG is going to be Multiplayer...
I have the Coldstone demo...and it looks to be way over my head...but then...alot of things are right now...like life. Anyway...if I could...I'd like to make a plug-in...
A. Sort of along the lines of a trading post....except that there are depositories, should you want to leave items there while you are playing as one class....to be picked up, maybe through riddle or something, by a player of another class you are playing in a different game. i.e. My conjuror drops off a piece of armour only the swordsman can use. I open my swordsman game, and if he's at the proper level, answers a riddle correctly or whatever...the proprietor of the depository says..voila...a certain friend left something here for you...tada!!!! (That one may be more difficult a task in coldstone if not impossible..I don't know....like I said...this is all over my head.)
B. I would like to see a woman as a lead roleplayer...mage, ranger, swordmen...etc..
C. I am very curious to see what the "whole giant" in the original game looks like all the way...guess you need to be an arteest for that?? .... but it really bugged me when I walked all around forever just to see that you cannot see the whole giant thing person. The same goes for Gidolean Keep....you spend all that time saving it...and you can't even go back and have a great feast with much ale and be bestowed upon with many glad tidings and walk around the halls of this place partying and merry making.
D. I have other ideas...but they'll just have to wait till my brain grows back.

Not really possible. There is a bug that would allow this, but it would also cause many other problems that would get very messy. As a rule, the world is loaded for each character seperately. Change the world for one character but it doesn't stay changed for the next.
Very possible. Just create female artwork for each of the classes and the knight ranks, and you will have the hard part done.

Correct, you need to be an artist and draw your own giant. There is no "complete" giant in the game. You have to make your own if you want to put it into the game.

I agree that there should be a Potions Expander or something for Rangers. It occured to me that there should be some sort of expanding plugin for swordsmen as well. For starters, this plugin could let you choose to increase any skill every three levels instead of just strength, vitality, and +5 stamina. Another guild/ shop/ special place would be extremly appreciated as well. And finally, a way to make marksmanship useful. Every now and then, I get a potion of perception and realize that it is useless because I cannot use range weapons. Perhaps you could just eliminate potions of perception for swordsmen and make a swordsman have 0 marksmanship at the beginning of the game. Or, you could create a more interesting way of doing this...
EDIT: Yay! 50 posts! ------------------ Clones are people two. If UPS and Fed-Ex merged, would they be Fed-Up? A man who's out to save Gidolan Keep, flies an Auroran ship, and hacks into computers to keep the bricks from falling past the line of destiny? Yep, that's me!

Hmmmm....maybe something I could work on in my oh so not spare time...but you never know. I did notice you didn't say anything about Gidolean Keep...does that mean there's something in the works that may show that off limits place...or am I dreaming?
I figured as much regarding the depositories...but thought I'd throw it out there.

At least one peek into parts of Gidolan Keep is about to become available. (cryptic grin) Opening up the whole town is possible for any who want to do so. All that is required is imagination and a registered copy of Coldstone.
------------------ My Doctor said I was having too much wine, women, and song - so I gave up singing because 2 out of 3 is not so bad. The (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/rduck/")Kingdom of Garendall(/url) sectional map is easily printed from gif format pages. Find those areas you missed the first time around. Have you been everywhere?
In the normal game, Gidolan Keep is walled and there is no way in. I think that it is possible to teleport in if you have a teleport spell, but alas, the walls are not protecting anything. If there is a plugin that lets you go inside Gidolan Keep and has characters and such, than I will be extremly happy.

I'm guessing DiD will do that, since I'm guessing the Queen will want her daughters back, and to speak with you at some time.

This is correct. If you teleport into the area of Gidolan Keep there is nothing there. Furthermore the entire area is restricted, meaning that if you teleport in you can't move. Whee.

I believe there is one in the works. It is not by me though so I can't say much about it.
Again with the "I can hardly wait for that plug-in!", Ducky!!!
I may fiddle with my Coldstone Demo a bit more (getting intrigued with this now)...and If I think I can get past this mental block I keep getting...I might buy it soon...finances considered of course. Yes, I know it's cheap...but I am devastated in that area at this time too. : (
Utians, Dwarves, Elves, Drivitans, etc. in the game would be nice. It would also be great if you could go to villages of the races (complete with quests). I think that Stark is making a Utian village, but what about the other races?
Originally posted by Thunderforge: Drivitans, etc. in the game would be nice.
I was always under the impression that "Drivatan" was a type of metal and not a race.

I suppose that you are right. By the way, does anybody from Beenox look at these boards? Could they say what race makes Drivatan weapons (obviously not dwarves :)).
