E-mailing is difficult. Compressed it's 14.82 MB and uncompressed it's 20.7 MB. MickyBIs was a beta tester who is on a windows machine. Perhaps he would be willing to e-mail the Stuffit version he used to decompress it? I'm sure it is easier for KrayzKid to get another version of Stuffit (he doesn't have to give up his newer one) than it is for me to get OS X installed. No, I have not made enough money from DiD to buy a new computer.
I have a question. How did damselsV1.0.1 get unstuffed? It was done exactly the same way. If it helps at all, you may try downloading directly from my website: (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/rduck/damselsV1.1.1.sit")http://www.evula.org...mselsV1.1.1.sit(/url)

Glad to see I'm remembered even though I don't post much
I'm sorry to say that I don't have a version of Stuffit 7.5 on hand, but I do have a couple of questions for KrayzKid.
If you said yes to the last, then it should work fine, since it did when I tested it with a newly downloaded copy :). I think Stuffit 8.0 has a problem with files which have resource forks, and gives that error even though it was properly expanded. If the above doesn't work, post here again and I will send a copy zipped with Stuffit 8.0 back to you.

1, yes 2, yes 3, yes and yes even though it still will not work as a plugin. Inside of the folder that it created(once you go deep enough) there is two readme's a DiD folder and a "this is 1.1". But inside of the "this is 1.1" folder, there is nothing.

Ok, the folder called Damsels in Distress is the plugin. Just put that in the plugins folder, and you're set to go. The "this is 1.1" folder is just to tell the version to people as far as I can tell.(though if you got the file from RDs link it should be "this is 1.1.1")

Anyways, I just wanted to note that the only difference between DiD v. 1.1 and DiD v. 1.1.1 (the LabRat version) is that 1.1.1 fixes a bug that would cause a certain character to not speak to you if you got a certain combination of specific items (don't want to give anything away).

Okay, i got it to work. thanx for helping Rd,Thunderforge, and MickyBls.

please reply soon.
I, too, am stuck at Troll Sentril. I think that I must have missed a step somewhere, as I keep falling through the trap door. Since it says, "fallen through THE trap door," I'm guessing that I should have already heard about its existence sometime beforehand (otherwise, wouldn't it have said, "A trap door"?). Any advice as to where I've misstepped?
P.S. Thanks for a sweet quest, RD!

Hi Knight Ranger and welcome to the boards.
First off, there is no advance warning about "THE trap door" - perhaps "A trap door" would have been a better phrase.
Secondly, make sure that you are playing version 1.1 or 1.1.1 because in version 1.0.1 the trap door does not reset correctly if you leave "Troll Sentril" and return again. The link in my signature below will get you a workable version.
Third, you have to have rescued two princesses before the main activities in "Troll Sentril" start. On your way there, did you get stopped and sent somewhere else first? If not, walk to the Troll Lair again and the runner from the Tearos River Bridge will try to intercept you.
And finally, you have to have a little chat with Ratznest and then find a friendly troll who will tell you about someone you have to meet. Without this information, you won't know where to find the third princess. If you haven't met this other troll yet, you will just keep falling through the damn door. He doesn't get along with the other trolls too well (you will learn why) so he is not in the big room with the others.
If that doesn't get you back on track, tell us exactly what you have done so we know where you are and what needs to be done.
I'm glad you like Damsels in Distress so far, there is more fun to come. ~RD

Just want to note that 1.1.1 (the LabRat version) fixes a bug which prevents a character from talking to you if you have a certain combination of items. It is not on the addons page (only 1.0 and 1.1 is), but it can be downloaded from Rubber Ducky's site.

Which is given earlier in this thread.

He he. Forgot about that.

Well, I'm running 1.1.1, and I've even gone back to Fantrima, where I've been reminded to go to Perugo. I've roamed most of the map sections to the southwest, but the runner has not intercepted me. Is there a particular map section that he shows up on? Is there a particular path that I need to walk to trigger his reappearance?

Start at the tunnel, follow the road, and when you are two screens west of the tunnel, then the path should be at near the top of the screen-go down, and walk the bottom third of the screen. At least, that's where I remember the runner was. I blame any confusing parts on the fact it's 6:50.. (edit: For those people who might be confused, 2 west of tunnel = 1 east of Troll Colony) ------------------ They say that if you play a Windows Install CD backwords, you hear satanic messages. Ok. To help you I need to clear some things up. The runner is in the square just east of the Troll Lair in which "Troll Sentril" can be found. Perugo Forest is south of Varandeep Lake and the Troll Lair is north of the Lake. You don't learn about Perugo until after you have talked to a captured Troll. You don't learn about the captured Troll until after you have met the runner for the second time. Things don't start happening in "Troll Sentril" until after you have rescued the second princess who is in Perugo Forest.
Whenever you are in doubt about what to do next, it is best to use your quest scroll. Open your inventory and find the quest scroll which the runner gave you when you first met him. Select it and click "Use" and you will see the tasks you have to do.
If looking at your quest scroll doesn't point you in the right direction, please post back with the details of what is in the scroll.
Things I need to know to solve this:

He's actually one square east, not west (unless he has a boat, travels one map east to the shore, hides the boat, then runs another map east to find you

Silly ol' me... I SWEAR that I walked past the location of the 2nd princess numerous times, but it never registered. I guess that's the price I pay for playing during the wee small hours of the morning. Once I did that, everything else has fallen into place. Now, I'm just trying to take out those two megatough Troll bastards. Thank you, Rubber Ducky (and damn you!) for such an addicting plug-in. And thanks to all of you you helped me muddle through my own oversight.
