altering mission bits

Help!

Ive completed all of the major storylines except for the federation.
I am at the end of the wild geese story but Mcgowan has refused the peace offer so im goin to have to either do Auroran or Pirate both of which ive done.

can you make a plug that modifies the bits in my pilotfile using a simple mission and modify where i am in the Wild-Geese string.

here is my pilot log:

Try doing it yourself.

First, finish that mission. You can't do anything until it's done (but thank you for catching it in progress, it made my job much easier).

First get whichever one of these is for your MacOS:
MissionComputer for OS 9
MissionComputer for OSX

Next, run MissionComputer and make a new plug.
Next, click on "mďsn", and click the "new" button at the bottom of the window.
In the "resource name" field, type "reset WG" (or whatever you want the mission to be called).

A new window will open. Click on the "Route & Reward" tab.
In the lower right-hand corner of the window, you will see a check-box labeled "Mission auto-aborts." Click on it (this will get the mission out of your active missions once you have used it).

Now, click on the "Control Bits" tab. This is where you will actually reset the bits that sent you down the wrong path.
In the "When the player accepts" field, enter: "!b817 !b819" (without the quotes). These are the bits that were set when you took the peace proposal and delivered McGowan's rejection, respectively (if you aborted the mission put in"!b817 !b803" instead).

Save the plug and quit. Place your new plug in the Plug-ins folder, and launch the game (be sure that "AllGoodBranches" is also in your plug-ins folder).
In the first Mission BBS you see, you should find a mission called "Reset WG". Accept it, take off, and head back to New Ireland, and check the bar. The Peace Proposal should start again.

Do not use the "Reset WG" mission again unless things go wrong, as it will reset those bits again, and probably mess you up. As soon as possible, you should quit and remove the plug.

Hope this helps,
Edwards

thanks alot it worked
