Help with Wings 3D

I'm trying to make a ship in Wings 3D, but so far I have encountered one problem.

I am trying to give the ship's far-back part of the wings an aspect a little like the back of the wings of a Dragon (not exactly the same, but it's the same kind anyway). So far I've got everything I want except for an inside curve. How do you do that? I've got a separate object with the shape of the curve I want, but in fact it's the opposite (the shape + the curve = entity). I've been toying with the different commands for hours, but I can't find the one that could help me.
I've tried combining the two (main ship and complement of shape), but then the saved selection didn't show anymore, I've tried doing all sorts of stuff.
Does anyone have a solution?

(I can't show images because I don't know how to export an image from Wings )

PS: I've tried looking at the main tutorials on the Wings 3D page, but couldn't find anything of interest.

You're farther along than I ever got with that monstrosity! I wish that I could be more helpful.

No-one else? Or did I make an error naming the topic that way?

Okay. I've managed. Just for the info for people who would be interested, it's way easier to cut the lines in the section you want to take out, move the vertices where you want them (farther back into the figure), do smooth, repeat the process until you have the shape you want.
By the way, is it possible to export an image from Wings 3D? (or save as an image?)
And after having done the base model, how do you do texturing? Use "material"? (I had a look at the tutorials like the cactus, the head, the eye, but they never tell you how they get the very last image grrrrrr)

Ok. I've got screenshots. Here they are:

Tell me what you think of it (I'm not posting it on the Image Gallery because it's not at all ready).

And how do you do texturing afterwards? Do you use materials? How? Those are the big questions I have now

Generally, we export it via some standard format such as 3DS and texture it in another program. I know it's possible to texture in Wings, but you'll need to export it when you render anyway, and a lot of times it loses texture info, so you might as well texture it elsewhere.

Got another problem. I have done head, neck and the other polygon sticking out of the body (the four-sided faced one sticking out vertically). But for the main body, I try to do the "UV Mapping", and it tells me "the model has isolated vertices (use Cleanup command)".
When I try the cleanup command, it says "Dissolving would cause a badly formed face". What can I do?????

Aah finally! No need for help anymore (at the moment). Solution found after hours of trying: "select" "by" "isolated vertices", and make sure all of them are connected to at least one other vertex
I do have another question though What do most people using Wings do after having finished the design (with or without texturing)? What program do you use for rendering? Because in fact the latest Wings 3D not only has a great texturing part but also an OpenGL renderer (a screenshot rendering anyway). I've also got Blender downloaded in case, but what would you guys think?

Edit: oh, and, for the texturing, you need small groups of faces so in fact it's pretty tedious. How does one divide a shape in two? I've tried "separate", loop and other commands to no avail.
