    RE: Up/Down Compress X/Y

Nova Tools as a ResEdit plug was lovely for such things, but probably unusable now without a PPC mac running >9.

    RE: Not quite, but..?

Anyway, I'd love to have something EVesque that didn't have the damnable multiplayer crap. Are there any other linuxy options that I should know about?

    RE: Not quite, but..?

I messed with it last night. Seemed like fun. I remember it from "back in the day" and was impressed... I should have looked at the last updated date, however. I couldn't find anything else "EV"-ish for Ubuntu that looked worth a damn, and then remembered the naev.
Oh well... Ubuntu is at least much more impressive than X. Not a substitute for os9, of course, but good enough and free :)/>

    BTW /bows respectfully towards Pipeline.

    Not quite, but..?

Has anyone messed with naev? I've moved to Ubuntu from OS 9 (rip) and this seems to have potential to bear a strange fruit...

    RE: EV SU

I have over a hundred and twenty meg of vaporware over nearly eight years- it can happen to you too, regardless of how much work or thought that you put into it.

    RE: NAEV

This seems to fix some of the issues that I have with the EV3 engine. I congratulate you, bobbens, for what that is worth. Once this is ready for plug-ins (or is it possible that you could release the data file format?) I will flip my gourd.

RE: In what order what you do resources for a TC?

Similar frustrations have sucked my will to live. Not really, but have definitely sucked my will to pour a lot of time into my work lately.

RE: Moving Systems on the Star Map...

It probably would have taken less time to do it in MC than to post about it 😉

    QUOTE

The murkiness of the system (0-100). Zero will cause everything to appear normally - 100 will cause the player to question their current glasses prescription. A value less than zero is equivalent to zero murk but also hides the starfield.

Nick Anderson once made some extremely large planets. I mean, very very large. On modern hardware I will attest that screen-filling planets are possible but could be better.
