i'm writing a plugin that will add an extra mission to the EVN. the story is going to be about an auroran child that lost his father during the auroran-federation conflict. since his father suffered a "dishonorable" death, his son becomes an outcast and becomes a lowly maurader, until he finds the real reason for his father's death couple of decades after.
now i need your opinion on this: does this picture go well with this intro music? it's supposed to make you feel depressed and the entire plugin is about the depressing moments of the so-called glorious battles. To me, the "escape velocity nova" doesn't fit right. There's too sharp a contrast between it and the background image. Try selecting it and the area around it and choosing something like "Blend" or "Blur" in your graphics program, like the text on (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/orcaloverbri9/SFABanner-orca.html")these(/url).

I'll agree with orcaloverbri9, the text needs to be fixed. A horizontal motion blur and maybe transparent middle with glowing edges?

Hey, you've only got to e-mail whoever holds the rights and ask. They'll probably say yes, since you're not making any money from it, and it sort of works as free advertising for them. But hey, the worst that can happen is they'll say "no". (Oh, ok, I suppose being taken to court is worse, but that won't happen... right? )
As for the suggestions above, I also agree that the writing doesn't look right. Maybe a different font would also be in order?
