Timeline (incomplete) to my TC

I said that I would post this last night but I forgot.

The Edit is some amplifications, clarifications and quite a bit of stuff that I forgot to include).

Here is a link for some relavant recent conversation on this issue: (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum9/HTML/005351.html#")http://www.ambrosias...ML/005351.html#(/url)

Here is the 'timeline' itself (though only vaguely complete for the most part). It is also not corrected for grammar or spelling, just a flow of ideas from head to paper.

These next several dates are approxamatedue to the fact that they are too long ago to accurately pin down.

100,000 'bc' Visitors from another planet discover Earth and decide to stay for a period of time. Most of them leave quickly out of boredom but a group stays behind in a land that would eventually become known as Egypt.

19,000 evolution of proto-culture under the influence of the 'gods' of the fertile and green Nile valey. Earth still in grip of 'ice age'. The first 'god' to rule is named Ra. He is followed by a few others, cumulating in the reign of Wsr (crowned 13,900).

13,500 Wsr travels the globe, spreading his knowledge and belief system to many different points of the earth in an altruistic manner. His sister and consort Ist rules in his stead, assisted by Heru the Elder, Nephthys her sister and Wsr's brother Seth, the 'guardian of the solar bark of Ra', perhaps a co-pilot or second in command to Ra of this 'mission' of the 'gods' on earth known for his benevolence and power, and for helping the people in times of need.

13,000 Wsr returns from 'across the seas', setting new goals for 'the black land' of Kemet. A dark corruption grows in the heart of Seth, eventually twisting this 'god' into a seething ball of hate for his brother Wsr, whom he feels is getting the lions' share of Ra's appreciation and accolades.

12,700 Feeling that his brother Wsr has reigned too long and that his own time has come and gone, Seth hatches a plot with his seventy-two aides, captains and assistants to upsurp the throne and take Wsr's place. A party is held in Wsr's honor, with a game played: Whomever can pilot in a small ship of unique design will win it. Seth knows that his co-conspiritors will pretend to fail, and that Wsr will not let himself lose. As Wsr brings the ship in to land, Seth activates a trap that evacuates all of the air from the ship and simutaniously seals the doors. It all loks like an accident, or worse: human error. In horror, Ist watches as the ship crashes into the Nile and it is known that Wsr cannot have survived. Seth takes the throne in the knowledge that Wsr had no heir and Ra would support him in his case, being one of his oldest followers.

12,650 Ist searches first the Nile, then the delta, then the entire Mediteranian seabed (at that time approxamately three hundred feet lower than it is today due to the effect of the 'ice age'). She finds the ship washed ashore in Lebanon, where it has become lodged in a large cedar tree which has grown around it. The tree is taken before she can get the ship out and is used as the central pillar in the palace of a local ruler.

12,645 Ist subterfuges her way into the palace staff and recovers the body of Wsr from the tree. Returning to Kemet, she utilizes her medical skills to attempt to revive the long-dead corpse. With the help of her sister Nephthys (who, by now is Seths involuntary consort) the remaining cellular memories of Wsr are extracted and placed into a cloned body that although imperfect (both the body and memory are warped, yet the spirit and personality of the great man is intact) is enough to make the three greatly happy.

12,640 As Seth brutalizes the people of Kemet, though there is a brief period of happiness for Ist and Wsr in which they concieve a child, Hor, named for another god whom assisted Ist in her quest early on- Heru the Elder.

12,633 Wsr's intelegence and personality have healed enough that he feels capable of challenging his now truly evil brother Seth, who was once a true and faithful warrior of Ra. Ra sanctions the fight, since it is the right of an unjustly deposed ruler to challenge to regain his throne. Unfortunately for Wsr, his cloned body no longer has the awesone 'godly' physical power of his original one and Seth wins very easily, cutting the body of his brother into fourteen pieces and flinging them about the Nile river valley. However before the fight Ist had copied Wsr's memory (through her great medical and scientific knowledge) and merged it into coherant energy, setting it free permanantly from it's mortal coil. Wsr flees the earth to return to whence the 'gods' came, becomming the first 'god' to leave the planet since Zep Tepi Neteru, or the first time of the 'gods'.

12,000 Hor has reached the age of ascencion, and challenges Seth to mortal combat for the throne of Kemet. This battle lasts one hundred years, oscilating back and forth, and particularly dispicable atrocities are comitted by both sides, untill eventually Hor becomes the victor. Seth is killed and his spirit is dispatched in the same way that Wsr's was.

12,000-11,000 Many of the rest of the 'gods' take the path that Wsr did and seperate thier minds from thier bodies. Hor and a god known as Theuthi (a minor secretary who invents a new system of recordkeeping, replacing tedious memorization with the written word) are the last two to remain. Hor leaves in 11,256, after thoroughly training Theuthi in the ways of leadership.

11,000 A large priestly 'caste' serves the needs of the 'gods', who visit with increacing rarity. Theuthi copies down the lessons of Hor into a catalogue of fourty-two books and trains the priestly caste in the ways of remembering the 'gods' and calling them in times of need. Theuthi abdicates in favour of a secular ruler in 11,000 and departs for parts unknown... He was the last 'god' on earth and with his passing the memories of the 'gods' begin to fade and warp, becomming the stuff of religeon, legend and myth.

10,950 Secular government initiates the planning of many monuments and temples to remember the 'gods', though even in this short time the memories of how they truly lived and existed have become mythic and are viewed entirely as religeon and not as history. The only exemption to this rule is the group known as the Shemsu Hor, or the 'Followers' of Hor, who know the location of the books of Theuthi and the truth about the period of the 'gods' on earth, though they allow the secular government to believe otherwise as to keep this information to themselves.

10,200 Discovery of 'stellar boats' of the 'gods' under the grass of Egypt. The project, being holy and 'of the gods', is entrusted to the Shemsu Hor. These are the millenium-old ships that the 'gods' originally arrived in and left behind when they left thier mortal bodies.

10,200-10,100 Decipherment of the workings of the 'boats' leads to great power for the priests in charge of them. Many new technologies become avalible. Monument construction increaces, encoding the secret knowledges of the priests. Secular government grows jealous of the power of the priesthood. The growing distrust between these two factions leads to many skirmishes and minor conflicts that rapidly begin to grow out of hand.

10,000 To prevent war, the priests leave along with thier peoples and followers aboard several of the 'stellar boats' set on autopilot for a common destination that is unknown. The remaining ones on Earth are absorbed into the secular culture and try to continue to pass along thier knowledges from generation to generation, but with each retelling it changes a little, compounding over the next several thousand years into much religeon and no fact.

10,000 Catastrophic Earth-crust displacement event changes global weather patterns, helping to obliterate the civilisation that the 'gods' had produced. Dessication of 'Egypt' and northern Africa begin. Sahara desert grows.

EARTH:

10,000-5,000 Slow degredation of Nile culture in one rapid spurt after Earth-crust displacement, followed by several thousand years of decay after the diaspora of the educated, elite priests and thier followers. Remainder mostly illiterate, ignorant.

4500 First new cultures on the Nile valley take note of ancient monuments and half-true legends about them. What is left of the Shemsu Hor integrate themselves into leadership positions wherever possible.

4500 Upper and Lower Egypt are seperate, distinct cultures. All knowledge of true happenings in the past hasbeen lost along with knowledge of technology.

4000 Initial conflicts between nomes for dominance over the whole of Egypt

3700 Unification of Taui (the 'Two Lands') or Kemet (the 'Black Land') under Narmer/Menes/'King Scorpion', who is perhaps one of the last people who partially knows the truth about the past. Orders the reintroduction of the heiroglyphic script and the preservation of as much old knowledge as possible, but under the circumstances this task is almost impossible and the garbled results end up as funerary texts, with thier constant images of 'stellar boats' that can 'come down to any sky of thier choosing'.

The rest of Earth history continues as we know it. Whole Earth culture destroyed by sociological upheval/technoshock and another Earth-Crust displacement on December 23, 2012 AD. Mankind is reduced to savagesand the survivors who happened to be in space at the time flee to 'alpha centauri', eventually forming the Aresixand'ii people.

MA'AT:
0 Em Sa'n Pera (from after we came forth) Crash-landing on planet in orbit around the star known as 'al-nitak' to the modern world, part of the constelation of "Sahu" or orion, believed to be the location from where the 'gods' originated. Ship destroyed but technology salvagable. Remains of ancient civilisation on the planet renamed "Ma'at' occupied and renovated. Planet exceptionally fertile, so the people multiply rapidly.

10 New colleges of priests form, adopting the name of thier ancestors on earth, calling themselves 'Shemsu Hor'. They quickly work thier ways into powerful places.

115 Planetary population has quintipled to 75 million due in part to rich soil, enviornment unsuitable for the growth of microorgansims and low mortality rate.

200 Planetary population exceeds two billion.

256 First new space travel, lasts only a matter of minutes before ship is destroyed by tidal gravity.

256 Planetary population exceeds six billion.

300 Problems with tidal gravity fixed, chemically propelled engines become more common.

350 Industrial production on Ma'at exceeds natural resources. Mining of local planetionds initiated.

400 Planetary population exceeds fifteen billion. Pollution becomming a problem.

500 Civil war occurs when the rich challenge the power of the secular governemnt, rallying the mases with promises of 'ending overpopulation' and increacing oppertunity.

680-1100 Civil war is ended, with the Shemsu Hor occupying the government seat for next five hundred years as technological growth and sociological change stagnates in the aftermath of the destruction.

1100 Rahotep I crowned 'He of the Five Names', begins the Rahotep dynasty, though a figurehead himself and of little real power.

1112 New generations of space explorers issue forth to search for colonisable planets and a new secular government patterned after old 'pharonic' system initiated- Shemsu Hor cede power to Rahotep I and return to previous roles as religeous advisors. Rahotep solidifies his seat and becomes a true world leader.

c. 1360 ?Near space is colonised, first interstellar probes launched. Amunma'atkare III sponsors this exploration to relieve overcrowding on Ma'at and it's space colonies in orbit.

1744 First new planetary systems discovered, colony ships issue forth into the void, taking millions at a time. Many ships are never heard from again.

2105 FTL travel becomes reality with the invention of the CES Engine (Coherant electron system), powered by heavy reactors. Energy is compressed untill assumnes the characteristics of mass and is them expelled from the engine, providing both foreward thrust and (as byproducts) hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. Some nearby systems are fully colonized before the ships launched hundreds of years ago arrive.

2200 First nearby star systems fully colonised. Shemsu Hor make secret investments in FTL travel, prepare to vaccate the planet Ma'at and find a new home for thier huge organization.

2400 Shemsu Hor colonise the moons of Samat and initiate the mining of Hiw, eventually this finances the entire organisation, allowing complete financial independance of the central Kemetic beaurocracy.

3500 Most nearby habitable star systems fully colonised.

4000 Onset of bitter and destructive 'Family Wars', as the ruling families of many planets challenge the power of the central beaurocracy. Not just one conflict, this is a sequence of bloody wars that see alliances and enimities between the great Houses and the central Government shift almost monthly. The viciousness of these conflicts often destroy entire Families. Bombings and near destruction permanantly affect the fertile planet of Ma'at, turning the atmosphere a sickly pink.

4055 Sau'ii en Ma'at, or the 'Keepers of Ma'at' formed as an independant peacekeeping organization with broad, unilateral powers.

4133 Destruction by war and attrition of 85% of magor houses, including the house of Rahotep, the ruling family. Remaining member of House Ani enthroned as Ankhhor IV, powers of beaurocracy limited. Keepers of Ma'at institutionalized as special police force. Many remnants of minor houses leave thier planets, taking to space and leading illicitly activitied lives, eventually becoming the generations of pirates and marauders that prowl the Akhemu Urtu Shema. Wars officially end in 4129.

c. 5000 IES (Impacted Electron System) engines overtake CES's as the dominate form for space travel.

6077 Main colonisation drive of Kemetic government slows due to lack of new planets. "Agressive" search begins for new planetary systems.

7012 Present day. Thousands of years of relative peace since the Family Wars has brought a great deal of prosperity to the galaxy.

Any questions feel free to post. I've actually been working on this for over two years, and just today have I actually gotten the main timelines sorted, and out of my head and onto paper. Hopefully this is eventually enjoyed by the Nova community.

Thanks,
Rik

If anyone has anything to say about this I would love to hear it- feedback drives the car, so to speak. Hopefully that doesn't sound pathetic! 😉
